I reckon that's probably the Gold edition.

No, the gold pack has only FB and AEP: http://www.ubi.com/US/Games/Info.aspx?pId=128

This includes all three and PLAY.com has a release date of feb2006.

Agree with stathem.

As I read it the Gold Edition has all FB+AEP+PF, which is what's advertised on play.com, and will be a DVD. Likewise the Platinum edition will also be a DVD but will have the extra content as well.

The Gold Pack is the old CD edition of FB+AEP, and should really be withdrawn from sale when the others are released.

Cheers!

I didn't know there would be both a Gold and a Platinum edition.

Anyway, feb2006 for Gold. So, even later for platinum, I guess.

Well now I don't know...I re-read Oleg's response to Kenji and it seemed to indicate the Gold DVD would be to update PF users to fully merged...so maybe this is the Platinum

I'll believe it when I see it in the shop.

Gold is FB+AEP.
It is for these who has PF, but have't FB+AEP or haven't AEP. We did such DVD version by request of such users, because in most countries already impossible to buy FB and especially AEP. The last one simply missed already everywhere. But without AEP you can't merge PF with the previous content.

"Platinum" DVD FB+AEP+PF+new content.

Tha to make FB+AEP+PF compatible with that DVD we need to produce special add-on, which is too hard currently and don't know if possible in future.

Hmmm. Just re-read it myself, and it gets more confusing. What Oleg is calling 'Gold' here has been around for a while (Release Date: 03/04/2003) and 'Platinum' is what I thought - all three plus the extra content.
So what is that on play.com?
Nice though it is to hear from Oleg directly, the sooner he gets someone to translate for him plus a PR chap... well, you get my drift.

Until then we'll just have to wait. Got the add-on patch to come first anyway http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif.

Cheers!

Further confusion. From what I remember the addon would come after the DVD. The Platinum was supposed to be the 4.02 version. Or is it the Gold version. Or ..., oh forget it http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/35.gif.

I see, Due for release on 03/02/2006 I read that as March 2 2006 unless they do things different in UK.

Is that the platinum DVD we're waiting for?

Yes http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif. Gold would be also nice to have, so I don't have to make FB backup folder any more.

Also it is curious why so many different time formats are used.
Simple DD/MM/YYYY will do as it is most logic. Any other format is good to be written like mar 02 2006 just to avoid further confusion.

yep, dd/mm/yy

god knows what you americans are doing swapping the dd/mm around http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-indifferent.gif

My favorite is yyyy.mm.dd. This way you can sort dates alphabetically http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif. Perfect for naming tracks, recorded games etc.

The most sensible is probably the all over the world established dd.mm.yyyy. Maybe the Americans changed it to prove they ain't like Brits and the rest any more http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/35.gif. Just kidding.

I use YYYYMMDD all the time to make backups, backup folders, etc.

And DDMMYYYY in general documentation, hand writing, office documents, databases...you get the idea.

Why americans use the other way around? are they the only ones? (MMDDYYYY)

...So I take it there won't be no flyable JU-88 till the Platinum DVD release... http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-sad.gif no xmas addon
