Here's the list, as I don't have enough time today I won't explain the reason.
1.Arado Ar 234
2.Junkers Ju 287 ,perfectly equipped with Jumo-012s
3.one American heavy bomber(B17,B24,B29,only ONE is enough)
4.Do 17
5.Japanese B5N2
6.Any German Jet with afterburner, as there were NO jets in the game with WEP so far and German DID make such prototypes.
7.Tu-2, top Russian WWII medium bomber
8.Ju52/C47,a cargo plane, and hope to create a new type of mission - To transport goods safely from one place to another
9.Ar-196 seaplane
10."America Bomber",Me-264 or Ju-390
-----
Well, as I said, just my personal ideas. No one could say that Oleg and 1C will adopt them.. Just for fun http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Work wasn't completed, work wasn't to standard, dunno. There's a sensible and strong reason.

The Ar-234 will be included, by the way, with the '46 addon/Final Complete FB DVD.

The other stuff, well, it's extremely unlikely unfortunately.

Even if you look in those pictures, there is plenty missing. Some stuff isn't even textured. The b-29 cockpit was not very far along.

As far as we know...the different stations were not quite finished to the level required by the game engine. This isn't about aesthetics...its about construction of the 3D mesh and how that works in the game. Most game engines are designed to operate within a very specific set of rules for 3D mesh construction. Its fine in a 3D renderer like 3DStudio or Maya. Your mesh can suck and it will still render just fine...not so in a game engine. If it isn't done exactly as specified its not going to work.

We've learned recently that many of the third party models that were submitted to Maddox Games for implementation were reworked as much as being completely redone from scratch. So if the B-29 cockpit and gunnery stations were in that shape...they might as well have done it themselves and for a heavy bomber thats a huge job. This also accounts for why the Yorktown and Enterprise models were not implimented, why the SB2C Helldiver was not implemented and so forth.

My personal vote...in the future...is to have Maddox games work on a B-24J and aim to make that available in one of the new sims. Why the B-24? Because it can be used as a flyable aircraft in a number of different wartime scenarios...in the Mediteranian (where we're apparently going after Battle of Britain), in Europe, and on such famous missions as the Plotesi raid which as an Eastern Front flavour to it.

That'd be my vote.

Yeah..good choice. It would be useful as a PB4Y-1 for ocean patrols too. And of course it was used in the CBI as well.

Icefire, while in general I htink you are correct, I don't think that is true for the Yorktown Class CVs, didn't Saqson do them?

I think it would make a very nice Tu-4. Maybe sub-par for a B-29 though ...

Thank you for the clarification Icefire. I wish we had a flyable Helldiver in game. Always been one of my favorates. I would also kill for a flyable Kate and Jill...

I also agree with you about the B24. However, The B17 has a sort of class and mystique that make it a must have.

Mmmm you might be right. I had thought that there were problems with the Yorktown and that was the cause. If it was done by Saqson...then probably not the cause.

Indeed the B-24 would be the logical choice Scharnhorst...but I know what you mean about the B-17. I just figure...given that we're not likely to get many detailed four engine heavy bombers in a sim largely dominated by single engine fighters and attack craft (nothing wrong with that) so we might as well go for something we can use everywhere.

Lancaster would be nice too http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Flyable VTs are pointless without ships capable of evasive action.

Better to have an IJAAF light bomber (Ann?), medium bomber (Sally flyable), and a Nick, IMO.

Pretty much all the other major combatants have some kind of light/medium bomber...
The IJA is definately missing out!

Dream on and on and on.

This is the last time this game is being
put on life-support.

Just go to the Hyperlobby and look at the numbers. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/51.gif

Gone are the days of 3.04m and 999 people
in the lobby and you waiting your turn to
get in. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/sadeyes.gif

What??

I don't understand you at all. The support for this game is unprecedented. Numerous free addons, continued development of add-ons, only a couple of SNAFU's like Northrop, Boontybox, and the complete lack of attention to this website's front page.

If there's a lull in Hyperlobby now, it's because half the people are frightened of Boontybox and aren't installing 4.05m, and now they've decided to wait for the '46 DVD.

Come the New Year, everyone'll be back, plus the new people who were put off by the exceedingly daunting installation procedure for 4.05m!

In the meantime, be sure that the people on HL are of the calibre that can cope with replacing two .exes, and can manage a twenty-step installation procedure.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

A 1943 Spitfire LF Mk.Vc (with Aboukir filter, 'B'-type armament and airlerons that DONT lock up so quickly since they were made with metal skin since 1941) would be nice too - and just in time for my bday! http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

It shouldnt be too hard to make that now would it?
