Been getting CTD when loading up saves during missions. This was on a clean install and I've been playing on it through 4 patrols and ran into trouble in the 5th.

Also getting some graphics problems but nothing that pops up all the time. They do seem to go away after awhile but kinda strange. Wonder if anyone else is having problems.

Started a new career because of the first problem and on my first patrol '40 I got plain ran over by a destroyer when I was stalking a convoy. Weather was perfect with 0 wind and it was about dawn. Was sitting perfectly still with rigged for silent and had no periscope up or even raised anywhere on his approach. Depth was set for 12m so nothing popped out either. I was set to be about 700m away from the closes point he should bet searching (lead destroyer). He plain went out of his way like I was written into the map and destroyed my tower (my boat survived). I think I did everything possible to keep my boat from being detected and is there away to make this more realistic or adjust the settings.

I love everything the mod adds to the game and just want to tweak it or see if there are some fixes out there.

I've experienced the first problem too, I just reloaded from base and that worked. As for the issue with the destroyer, could just be dumb luck, I was stalking a convoy in heavy seas at night on the surface and a black swan turned right for me, but he had no idea I was there, else he would have lit me up..

Check at subsim there was a patch that came out Dec 23 to fix a few issues.

What was you knot speed?

Good question!

With NYGM features, silent running and slow ahead isn`t nearly good enough.
Now I remember a destroyer who picked me up from 700-900 meters (NOT in a state of alertness - mind the range you can be detected then doubles).
And YES, the sea was dead calm and the destroyer was only doing 4 or 5 knots.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

I was doing zero knots ... dead in the water and thats why I'm sort of at a loss. If I had the periscope up I could see it but the fact that it was never raised concerns me. He had passed me then doubled back and went 500-700 meters out of his way. I prep before my attack run by getting into position well in front of the convoys and opening all tubes/rigging for silent/etc so I make as few adjustments as possible.

Well, escorts on a convoy zigzag all the time, maybe, he was coming around toward you and didn't know you were there, then, tried to keep going and hit you?

about that, when I enable it, JSGME says it might have issues with lite harbor traffic and the integrated controls. Will there be a big problem?<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

the christmas patch includes an aditional patch for lite harbor traffic

so we should presume that the new patch is intended to change the optional mod Lite Harbor traffic.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

I've only just started playing the game
(i have done a clean install of GWX over SH3) but i read somewhere in the manual that when you are stationary in the water, your sub has a habit of floating up a little higher than you have set it. So Periscope depth in calm water at a depth of 12m whilst stationary is infact 10m and the very top of your conning tower has a nasty habit of popping up just above the waters surface. To keep youself at 12 meters you have to be moving forward (or backwards).

This was first introduced in NYGM which to my knowledge is (at least partialy) incorporated in GWX.
In NYGM you can`t hover like a humming bird and the speed of 1 knot will result in diving ever deeper.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

When you go stationary set your depth for 14m and it will stay around 12m. Played a few more patrols and haven't had the same problem so maybe it was a fluke.

Haven't seen a enemy aircraft yet and I've traveled within their range in 41-42? Not that this is a bad thing but I would like to crash dive every now and then.

Had to reload the Game with GWX due my first sub (Kpt Otto Ramsaig) being destroyed in action. Instead of starting the mission again I decided to drive on as a new boat and commander (Kpt Van Hiessen). Things were going great after sinking nine ships on my 2nd partol (1940). Went to engage a trawler (Grid BF) but decided to save it for later. Relaoded through SH3Cdmr but it would not load. "Not so long ago" and crash. Removed the SH3 from the computer with all related files. Luckily I saved my career files to desktop. Uplaoded the 1.4b patch, GWX and started the game after checking to make sure that both careers were still there, hoping to load the nine kill mission, no luck. The game kept crashing. I decided to load the carrer prior to that and it worked. Q. Could this have been caused by a corupted file in the career folder?

I'm having a similar fate right now.
Yesterday evening, the game crashed before reaching port on a 174K patrol.... http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_mad.gif
I'm unable to reload from any save points on this patrol. It reaches the "not so long ago" message and then CTD. A fresh install of SH3+GWX+patch did not help.
Right now I hope that reverting to the 93.71 nvidia driver will help....
This is so annoying!<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

Back to the original point about realistic attacks, I'm still puzzled by a couple of occasions when I'm on about 512 TC and suddenly get run over by a destroyer - does the Sonar Op go to sleep or something? Or are some destroyers 'parked' around in the silent darkness.

There's also the thing about aircraft. If you decide, for various reasons, to have a go at shooting a couple down, you can guarantee that there will be another air attack very shortly afterwards. Fair enough. If you shoot that attack down, you get 14/15 Sunderlands overhead inside the hour! Sorry, but there just weren't enough Sunderlands (or any other aircraft type) to do this, even if it were likely.

Then there's the 'escape' to Bergen I just made (Type XXI) (only to be sent out again to the Bristol Channel!). I get inside the fjords, (which I've - IRL - been through several times) approaching Bergen from the South. It's still "too rough" for the flak gunners but there's only 9m under the keel. Then I get jumped by six Sunderlands! Flying from landward (German-occupied Norway)! Can't dive, can't fight back. Sunk in six fathoms! And it took seven hours of playing time to get there!<div class="ev_tpc_signature">
