I found a nice Kettenkrad (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/nsu_W0QQitemZ160039399783QQihZ006QQcategoryZ80765Q QrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem) for sale,if you happen to have too much money.

It'd be the perfect thing for moving that pesky He-111 that's been cluttering up your backyard. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

Love one! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/heart.gif Seriously!

But that's got to be too much money.

Then if someone asks if you've got track, you can honestly say yes.

Speaking of tracks,I like the divets the tracks leave in the ground,in the pics.
I'd like to see what they could do off-road;traction guaranteed.

And I agree, that seems like far too high a price $$$.

Too much? $20,000 is less than those doilyed up humvees.

I found some off-road action.

Text from beneath picture:

"This is the title of the same magazine from December the 10th, 1942. The picture shows the minister for armament and ammunition, Albert Speer, testing the Kettenkrad. The text in the right lower corner of the page says:

"The minister tests himself! In difficult terrain the minister for armament and ammunition, Speer, tests the latest model of the Kettenkrad, which is because of its capabilities off-road and in the mud excellent for the difficult terrain in the east"."

Herr Speer looks d*mned stuck to me.

The Kettenkrad is probably the classiest ride around. I can imagine myself cruising around late on Saturday looking for biznatches. Just don't have the 20k http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-sad.gif

Just think of the fun you could have freaking out the neighborhood with the thing!

There is another NSU Kettenkrad for sale on cycletrader.com. Price Upon Request, of course. It is in better shape than this eBay specimen. Frankly I'd rather buy a vintage 911 and use the money left over to build an air conditioned garage . Of course I couldn't go mud bogging in it.

Just took a peek, for my Brother in law. He's the real motorcycle nut.

$25000 and reserve not met, so the guy wants even more for it still.

From your posts some of you don't know what you're looking at or talking about. You want an original NSU track for under $25k?

http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

It's a chunk of history ladies. For creeps sake, "ordinary" '42-'45 Willys jeeps are going for $15 to $30k.

Personally I think the Jeep would be worth that easily! But the Ketten is too much of a toy to demand that price. Its utility is far less than the jeep. Can't take my sweetie to the drive-in in the Ketten.
