For the first time in about 2 years. Boy was I rusty. It was 2v2 on Mangoriver and I got owned. I know I would have held my own when I was in my prime.

Great game though.

gALE1995 (does your parents know you play this game? :P); There's usually about ~100 players online, enough to find a game. At least if you live in Europe or Africa.

I just bought a new copy of fc http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif (cd was cracked...). I'ma go online asap when I come home (from this LAN) and then we'll be 101 players online http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

I can't help but to like the MP in fc... sometimes it's really epic.

There were no occupied servers with green ping numbers.

I played on a server in the UK, my ping was 109. Most of the full servers had pings over 200 which will not work for me in the Eastern US. Lots of people are playing but it depends where you live if you can find a game.

i never really did give MP a fair shot. couldn't get it to work worth a damn when i first got the game due to cdkey and related issues, and when i finally did get on, it was when 90% of the servers were running that damn super speed or some other mod, which i hate. i think i played one game of assault that was pretty fun, even though my team sucked outrageous :P. everyone else was trying (and failing) to play as a merc killing people, and i was the only engineer running around trying to fix everything at once :P

I never find anyone on FarCry for the 360 on multiplayer anymore. It's died. >_<"

There are still a few clans who are playing it, at least sometimes. According to feedback from them, it's hecka fun.

You might wanna see if you can find one.

I am starting a server tomorrow,it will be called Prometheus Server and it will support up to 12 players. The bad thing about it,it's 1.33 version because ubisoft/crytek didn't make dedicated server 1.4 for linux!!!

Anyways I hope i'll see you there guys!

I'll see if I can find time to shwoop in a little tomorrow

Is there no possibility to run the 1.4 server through wine or similar?

Hi Elle
Have you thought of a windows emulation program? In my Mac days, you could emulate Windows on the Mac OS and run most if not all PC programs. Games are the most problematic due to driver problems, but you could look into that.

hi elle

like coops said...u can either install windows on your mac aswell....and just boot in windows when u want to play....or im pretty sure u can install a program called "crossover" which allows you to use windows programs

and nah i pop by here every now n then just to see if anything is happening http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

Coops,I thought you would be more enthusiastic than that to hear from me!! Remember I was never a tech wiz so explain Windows emulation to me pleeease! xxx Oh and hi porky! Where would I get the programme to install Windows and would it interfere with the mac in a negative way at all? x

11-08-2009, 02:03 AM
The program to install windows is... well, windows. You have to buy it.

Dunno if windows XP is sold any more, but either that or win7 is my recommendation if you go the windows way.

Shouldn't interfere with the mac if done correctly. It's an advantage if you can install them on separate partions (parts of the hard drive, ask if you don't know how to do that).

An emulation basically makes the computer think it's something else. Uh, weird explanation. Well, let's say you want to play some old play station 1 game on your PC, then you'd download an emulator which would give the PC the instructions on how to parse the play station code.
Hope that's a little understandable anyway :X
actually don't know very well myself.

Any luck on the mac forums?
