Liked the movie. Hated the music. Is there anyway I could record Dean Martin over it?

Was the Dark Blue World aerial footage not "borrowed" from the original 1969 Battle of Britain film??

There were some borrowed clips, though there was lots of freshly shot stuff also. The bomber formations were done with CGI. I thought it was very well done.

All of the clips were taken either from "Pearl Harbor" or "Dark Blue World".

If it´s too loud - you´re too old.

That movie sent a wave of patriotism through me LOL.

Maiden Rock!

Screw you Ameriwhiners, Luftwhiners, and Rusianwhiners....the Spitfire is without a doubt the most beutifull plane ever built. It symbolises freedom!!!!!!!!!!!! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/11.gif

Iron maiden wouldn`t normally be my first choice for a BOB type dogfight movie, but I watched it. While I watched and listened, it actually dawned on me that the words of the song are actually relevent to a dogfight - even the word Spitfire! is in there!

After that the whole thing became much more enjoyable. I always thought people played that track to dogfights just cos they were addicted to iron maiden rather than it actually being about a dogfight! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/35.gif

SeaFire...
Not making fun of you, but your post made me laugh... I almost got in trouble for waking my girl cause I laughed so hard...

Title of the song, " ACES HIGH ",, and the whole song is about dog fighting... LOL...

in fact, the Iron Maiden, Aces High Video has a lot of spits and dog fighting on it as well..

lol, yea.
But y`see I never really was into this kind of music, since I find it hard to hear anything! I guess I must be changing somehow (getting older/younger? http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-indifferent.gif) because I was actually enjoying it and hearing the words behind the music!

er....it goes something like this....

"There goes the siren that warns of the air raid
Then comes the sound of the guns sending flak
Out for the scramble we've got to get airborne
Got to get up for the coming attack.

Jump in the cockpit and start up the engines
Remove all the wheel blocks
there's no time to waste
Gathering speed as we head down the runway
Gotta get airborne before it's too late

Running, scrambling, flying
Rolling, turning, diving, going in again
Run, live to fly, fly to live, do or die
Run, live to fly, fly to live, Aces high

Move in to fire at the mainstream of bombers
Let off a sharp burst and then turn away
Roll over, spin round and come in behind them
Move to their blindsides and firing again

Bandits at 8 o'clock move in behind us
Ten ME-109's out of the sun
Ascending and turning out spitfires to face them
Heading straight for them I press my guns.

Rolling, turning, diving
Rolling, turning, diving, goin' again
Run, live to fly, fly to live, do or die
Run, live to fly, fly to live, Aces high."

Seafire..
Most of their songs you can understand their lyrics.. That is why I appriciate their music. Its very clear and very clean music. and not all of their songs are as fast as that one is..

Thanks HotSpace for the movie!!!
The thing wich disapointed me a bit was the music, can't asociate this kind with wwii aviation (Iron Maiden is a great band though, and some years ago I was playing some of their songs on guitar, including 'aces high' http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif)
