Hey Guys!

Several on-line games I've been to use a wonderful desert theater map as a base. Is this one of the available server set ups in the game's multi-play function or are these something created by 3rd parties?

Most of the available maps can't be accessed via the QMB which is a real shame (don't ask me why this is but I assume it's for a good programming reason http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/35.gif).

However a splendid alternative is to use Uberdemon's Quick Mission Builder:

http://www.uberdemon.com/index2.html

This lets you set up any map appropriate to your FB/PF installation and far greater mission configurations than the QMB allows.

Otherwise I think the FMB will allow all maps but I'm afraid that's foreign territory to me http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif .

Thanks guys... I'll check out uberdemon.

I'm not too worried about finding this in QMB, I was hoping to set up a server for my buddies and I'd like to use the desert backdrop... but I don't know where to find that map is in the existing materials.

Anybody know which one it might be?

The only one I know of is in the FMB and it's called "OnlineMT".

That's the one! Thanks!

Now I just need to learn about using the FMB to create mission sets for server application (that's a new subject for me). Time to ge out the book again...

Sweet... thanks!

Easy to get in over my head (but that never stopped me before).

Dumb question: AI aircraft are only allowed in coop on-line games, right? (Love to sprinkle the airspace with some extra players ;-)

In online games, yes, AI will only work as AI in coops. In the original game there was a warning in the manual that attempting to put AI flights or moving ground objects in DF missions could potentially cause the PC acting as server to crash but I've never seen reports of it actually happening.

Thanks... that's what it says in the current PF manual, too.

I might try it just to see if I can get something to break http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

The usual result is the DF mission works fine but the moving objects and computer controlled aircraft flights just don't load.
