I was walking my dog this morning and spotted this through the woods.

It was a good half mile away and I don't think I was really allowed anywhere near it but as I got closeer I saw the Soviet markings.

Prop, 3 wheels and squared off wings, long cockpit.

The pictures aren't that good as I wasn't really supposed to be there and the dog was pulling on his lead.

Anybody any ideas what it is? It's a lovely looking old thing.

This shot could be USA, with those 101st Airborne flags, or France, Belgium. As I started typing I realized thats not a good indicator, haha.

Hey Comrade_Wubb, where did you come across this gem? Do you live close to an airfield?

Wow, thanks Gents, that's it. If you look at the other shots, rather than the only one that came up on the thread, You'll notice that they have the same Reg: G-YOTS.

Brilliant, I knew you guys would come good for me.

One of my dog walking routes takes me through woods that overlook a private airfield. I sometimes see Cessna's and the like through the trees but nothing that has peaked my interest enough to trespass until today. The woods are near Christs Hospital, Horsham in West Sussex, England.

Thanks again.

Definitely worth it! Thx for risking a fine for the shots!

The image tags for the pic had a qualifier that messed up the formatting. Fixed now.

Ah, the joys of aircraft ownership, and having almost all of one's vital information readily available to the general public.

The FAA has a similar site, with every registered N number's owner address et al freely available to all and sundry.

*shudders*

Nice shots, though. Looks like beautiful country if the backdrop is any indication.
