Holy moley I didn't realize you could get into a warbird so cheap. That B-25 is tempting although after purchase it would be 200 billion years before I could restore it.

OMG!!! I've been inside that B-25! My company has a factory in Randleman and our corporate plane lands at the small airport in Asheboro. I'm down there two or three times a year. The plant manager knows the owner and has snuck me in on a couple of occasions...

Only $375,000! Okay...I have a dollar...who's with me?!?!?!?!

The B-25's left engine "will need overhaul" after only 342 Hrs SMOH (Since Major OverHaul), which as me wondering what happened. That overhaul won't be cheap. If I had to guess, I'd say somebody bought it, scared himself with an inflight engine problem requiring a single-engine landing, and never touched it again. I'm afraid that even a kidney wouldn't be enough to get that one to pass it's annual. Oh well, back to picking lucky numbers for Powerball.

lol...nah, it was a serious restoration project. A year ago the nose was off and the front was a mess of tangled wires. Hard to believe how much work they actually completed.

Apparently the owner died and thusly the impetus for the project.

Hmmm...maybe I can get the boss to add it to the corporate fleet. Not as comfy as the KingAir but a lot more fun...

I'm sorry to hear that. That was the other explaination I was contemplating, one that is unfortunately all too common among warbirds (like Mark Hanna's collection.)

I didn't mean to cast doubt on the work, it looks like they've done a great job. I just wondered about two engines, both with similar times, only one needing an overhaul.

As for an addition to a corporate fleet, it would have been an easy sell forty years ago, when a lot of B-25's got executive interiors to be used for just that purpose. In it's current configuration, it could give a whole new meaning to the term "hostile takeover".
