If SaQSoN is not joking, we will have lots of fun. So, for those who have not seen it, here you go:

Ok, let's see. After having a furios combat, you land at your airfield and taxi to your parking place to see the ground crew running with ammo belts and driving a fuel truck to refuel your aircraft for the next sortie.

While you're sitting in the cockpit, you see your buddy from another flight trying to land his damaged Spit, but fails. Debris fly trough the firelball and a firetruck, accompanied by an ambulance rushes to the crash site.

In the meantime, an evil 110 takes advantage of the mess on your airfield (another your friend, who is manning the 40-mm AA, also stares at the crash) dives towards your refueling site just to see the little men on the ground jumping out of the vehicles and running at all sides seconds before your Spit and a few surrounding trucks turn itno yet another fireball... \:\)

So, during that absolutely ordinary DF mission in SoW:BoB (described above), would you like to see a blocky IL-2 vehicles and charecters with blurred textures, or you would prefer a "cinematographic" picture quality?

I'd go for the second.

PS. For a change, how about London trip in your British roadster car? Or do you prefer some Panzers for that? ;\)

Best regards,

SaQSoN (Vladimir Kochmarsky)

I wouldn't mind seeing a 'ready room' kind of situation. You're in the ready room where you can go over the intel, view tracks, study your map, etc. When you click 'start the mission' you have to run and and climb in the plane.

This will start a rumor

be sure

The rumor has already started, until now it's nothing then a rumor but with a quiet reliable source, I'd say.

And if they really take it to this level of detail we will also have ready rooms, I'm sure.

Now that would add some immersion! Unfortunatly I believe most rumors until proven otherwise, lol.

This causes me to remember another 'reliable source' and his well intentioned previews of Pacific Fighters and what we would see in that title....and then something happened....

I know that there were time constraints and PF was left twisting in the wind to a degree - but the bottom line is - the end product fell short of the advance tells we were getting from Ilya - who I honestly feel was himself 'Pearl Harbored' by all that was left out of it...

This press from SaqSoN is what it is...and that just remains to be seen.

So is this a tread about no news, or news or what.

I don't get it.

Its Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for these boards when there is even the faintest sniff of an upgrade, new release, whatever. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/10.gif

It will become sillier and sillier as the tension for the new release builds, rumour upon rumour, speculation upon speculation will build until people will be having fiery arguments based on their "knowledge" of absolutely....NOTHING. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/53.gif

After the way the whole pacific fighters development and release deal worked out I think it's best to be cautious and to believe nothing till we actually see it in a demo or the full release or a video at the least.

I heard our pilots will be individually configurable and will be controlled like characters in FPS's with our world being whichever airfield we're stationed at the time.

Head over to the Officer's mess grab some breakfast chow, go to the flight line to see my crew chief and check the status of my bird. Scramble! Hop in, start up, and...GOGOGO.

When we land we get to debrief and go to the base watering hole to move our hands around (like us pilot types do http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_cool.gif ) and have a pint for poor Charlie who didn't come back.

Now if THAT doesn't start a rumor... http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/touche.gif

Maybe like in so many FPS games, you should climb in your plane, but two AI mechanics got stupid and block you...
