Since Clark retires from Rainbow in Critical Hour, does this mean Chavez takes his place as SIX's coordinator? It could explain the new operatives.

I hope that some of the old operatives will return as well. The more the merrier!

According to the Critical Hour description, that's the case. Doesn't really make any sense though. Yeah, it should be Stanley (5). Guess there's something to being the bosses son-in-law. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

I guess Stanley would be too obscure for the avg Rainbow Six fan. So Ding would make more sense.

I can't be Chavez. In the novel he was like 30 something and the year was 2005. Vegas probly takes place about five or six year later (guess). Anyway even if he was like 40 sumthin by then, he'd still be running with the boys and girls.

Yeah, that's how I feel about it. I think Clark was 58, and it was his idea, so he was in charge. I don't think Chavez could deal with the pencil pushing part of the job. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif
I think they took the convenient storyline, not one that makes sense. Your'e the first person I've seen mention the book, glad I'm not the only one.

Chavez is Clark's son-in-law though, surely the personal connection may spur Clark to recommend Chavez if he were to retire and suggest a successor.

Yes Chavez sounds nice but in Lockdown Chavez does disobey orders and in real life that is bad for your record.

But I still want him cause I like the original characters since in Lockdown we played more whit new guys they the old team.Even if they leave or not in the next one.

"Clark" has a history that isn't exactly squeaky clean either. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Probably but thats why I don't mind it.If I remember Clark did something wrong in R6 3 but he was already the coordinator.

I think that the question should be 'Will Chavez become the new leader of Rainbow?' or 'Will Chavez become Six?' because 'Rainbow Six', John Clark, IS the leader of Rainbow. Rainbow is the team. Six is the designation within the team of the leader (just as Stanley is 'Rainbow Five').

Just thought you'd like to know.
