It's 1943 and I am seeing a pattern I don't understand. I have had several patrols roughly centered on Grid BE33. On all of these patrols I have come across two or more ships stationary in the area. Are they waiting for something? It's an easy way to start or end a patrol and add some extra tonnage. Also good to work on your manual TDC skills since they are just sitting there.

Could be a rallying point, maybe? Don't wait too long because they could be waiting for their escorts...........

Could be their damaged by a previous U-Boat attack or got damaged in heavy seas i know i ran across one T2 tanker that was moving at a very fast speed of 1 kt about 3 days after very rough seas in the area.

My opinion on this is that it is a game bug. I've encountered this sort of thing several times, as have other members here. What I ususally see is two merchantmen close together, doing about 1 knot until you torpedo one or both of them, after which they attempt to speed up and escape.
