No.

Right now, they should focus on AC2.

have you seen the DS version? if all you want is a simple side scrolling game I'm prety sure some1 could make a homebrew version.

Yeah... >_> the DS version was nothing to write home about, that's for sure...

it would be pathetic just like the DS version. it's graphics were so bad they looked 2D when it was actually 3D http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-indifferent.gif

an Assassin's Creed game would be wonderful for the PSP as long as they took it seriously and didn't try to treat it like an arcade game.

i find it funny that people still compare the graphics of a nintendo product to...well, anything. nintendo hasn't been about the graphics since the original NES.

psp games have decent graphics. comparable, at least, to PS2 games. PSP is practically a portable PS2. if they made an assassin's creed game for the PSP (and used the system's full potential) it would look really good, and you could play very close to the way you play on a PS3.

look at screenshots of Silent Hill Origins if you doubt the capabilities of the PSP. it's not the system's fault that developers don't take advantage of what it can do.

pardon the rant, typically i yawn at comments that bash the PSP, because most people that don't like it either don't have the right games for it, can't afford to get another system, or have simply never played one. it's a system that is held back only by developers' reluctance to make games for it and take them seriously.

A PSP title would be full-3D and would probably look just like the original, except in a different setting with considerably poorer graphics.

I don't really care for Sony but I know it wouldn't be half as bad as a Nintendo game.

I really am the only person who liked Alta´r's chronicles wasn't I. Why does everyone keep ****ting on it graphically? Graphics are far from the only thing that matter. And when you consider that the DS is something like a -eight bajillion bit processor I'd say they did a really good job

LaurenIsSoMosh

Lol, I wasn't saying it was bad, frankly because I haven't played it, and frankly because I think pretty much every game in the universe is at least decent, unless it's Army of Two.

I was just saying, Nintendo puts emphasis on story, everyone else in the world puts emphasis on gaming.

your assuming the devs would have time to do it between making AC2 for the more popular consoles.

I'd quite like to see a Creed game on the PSP as well, I think it would work quite nicely

Don;t you think the control scheme would be a little....difficult?

Bobfish_Almight
05-16-2008, 05:19 PM
Not at all. It'd just be simplified a little

Marek86
05-16-2008, 05:22 PM
Well it's possible I suppose, but i think they would have announced if they were doing it by now.

Bobfish_Almight
05-16-2008, 05:30 PM
Yeah, I'd have thought so too. Then again, it did take them until last month to do Creed on the PC...

pc version was originaly intended for launch with the console versions but got delayed so was anounced last year.

Well, Splinter Cell Essentials, imo, was a worthy addition to the Splinter Cell series. And the PSP has come a long way since then, so I think Creed, whilst admittedly far more complex, could be translated well. Though it would likely have to be a somewhat smaller game to fit on. Maybe something limited to only one or two of the cities. A sideline game if you will

yes and that would cost money to make and considering the purchase rate on the PSP they would never make it back.

Bobfish_Almight
05-17-2008, 04:52 AM
That's kind of the problem though isn't it. PSP games don't sell too well, so they don't make many, which means no-one gets excited about the new games. Which means they don't sell. So companies don't make them

LaurenIsSoMosh
05-17-2008, 04:54 AM
Which is why Microsoft needs to get into the handheld console business.

Bobfish_Almight

No. Just...no

LaurenIsSoMosh
05-17-2008, 05:01 AM
Well, I look at it a lot of the way I look towards Xbox and Playstation.

If it weren't for Xbox, people would have no hope in sight thanks to PlayStation.

PSP isn't handling it too well so I figured Microsoft could tidy up that market as well.

Bobfish_Almight
05-17-2008, 05:03 AM
Dude, they're both as bad as each other

caswallawn_2k7
05-17-2008, 05:05 AM
the xbox has a narrow game range and that is why the PS3 has now outsold the 360 in europe and is on its way to outsell the 360 in the states even tho the 360 had about a 16 month head start. the fact is 90% of the gaming problem is made by microsoft trying to pass of a low end PC as a next gen console.

Bobfish_Almight
05-17-2008, 05:08 AM
Well, I'm going to avoid this conversation because, apparently, every post I make is about my dislike of the X-Box

I Guess they could port the DS version to PSP (modify control system) and slightly enhance the textures since the PSP has more RAM and VRAM than the DS.

Bobfish_Almight
05-18-2008, 09:23 AM
"Slightly"?

Now, I'm, admittedly, no huge fan of Sony. But I have to say, the PSP has about three times the processing power of the DS

Yes it has 3x the power but it doesn't have much more RAM and VRAM than the DS the PSP (lite) has 64mb of RAM and 32mb of VRAM the ds is about half that ammount
