In Assassin's Creed you have freedom to climb, jump, hit almost anything you want. But what about interacting with the people. Can you steal from the common people, well probably not because that is going against your whole mission. But what about the gaurds, can pickpoket them, can you talk to them, or can attack them at will? Maybe my last question you can do but what about the two before, can you just take money from them with out them even noticing? Well I hope so!

Also do the gaurds ever notice who you are, do you ever become a well known target? Do your targets ever hear that someone is trying to assassinate them?

My overall question is how much freedom do you have?<form action="http://forums.ubi.com/eve/forums" method="POST" name="VOTE">

well "gaurd" is actually spelled guard

but if you go to google video and watch the X06 demo video it shows you can hack at most things and they will fall down and stuff like that and if you climb around other people they stare at you and you can push the people and make them mad<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

You should be able to take money, since you (if my memory serves) have to buy some of your equipment - and you do side quests for money and trust and such, so, uh... yeah.

In an interview with Jade (i forgot where i saw it so dont be lazy and look is up if you really want to check me) but she said that there will by some missions were you steal or spy on people. So yah i think you will be able to pick pocket, that will be really cool.

In terms of how aware assassination victims will be about their peril will be interesing to find out about when the game is released (and something i never really thought of). Hopefully it will be like a NFS most wanted, were the more you do illegal activities, the more people are aware of your activities and the more likely you will be to get chased by police, only in this game the gaurds are more informed about what you look like and wont hestitate to engage someone who fits the destcription given to them.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

Really when it comes down to realism, human nature in societies suggests that everyone is just doing whatever, until they go and do something wrong. Some dude is running down the street in some fancy cloak, with some metal things in a quiver on his back, well it could be his job to be a body guard or something, besides a famous person is in town after all. That's how I would think.

I thought that Jade (the babe in the interviews) mentioned that the cities were very large and could be explored at an almost unlimited means, after all why would you be able to climb buildings and not go whereever you wanted?

As far as talking to everyone, I always hated that part of Final Fantasy and stuff, I really don't care what most people have to say unless it directly relates to what I have to do in the game, and I don't want to search for 15 minutes to find them either. Although given the size of the cities and the exploration capabilities you might have to run around for some time and figure some things out just to get ahead.

That "babe" in the interveiws is also the Project Lead of AC. Also if you dont want to hear about everything everyone in the game has to say, then dont talk to everyone.
However, i agree with you about gaurds not always noticing you. As much as we think that castles/cities were always under heavy gaurd, they might not have been. Still, personal gaurds of a assasssination target should be alert to your presence than other gaurds.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

The babe never said you had to walk up to someone and talk to them. Jade simply said that you can eavesdrop on people. So you might walk by a group of guys talking in front of the Medevl butcher shop and you eavesdrop on them to get information to help you find and get to your target easier. This will be nothing like Final Fantasy when most of the people are ******ed and say, "I grow yams for a living, but it hasn't rained in a long time. My family is hungry. ::tear::"
You might walk by a lady trying to get food by her hungry family and eavesdrop on her but i HIGHLY DOUBT there will be no talking menu:
Ex: What do you want to say to Farmer Joe?
-What is that?
-Oh really! Thanks!
-I don't need you!
The style that Jade talked about, I think will further emerse you in the game and make it much more realistic. Because no master assassin would go up to a civilian and say, "So where is Marcus III going to be, and how many guards will he have?"

Something I like to see is also inside of buildings.
I mean I want to be able to explore the inside of the castle, pub, store etc.
And I agree totaly on what you said SweetLou.

I think there is gonna be freedom in the form of you can go anywhere but I think the game will be lacking in the side quests department, I just have a feeling.

Side quests won't be neccisary but they will be one of the main factors for escape or actually assassinating too. Like the monks, etc.
