Oleg,
Is their any chance of seeing a flyable
P-47N in the future of PF?

I think someone was modelling it but the HDD failed so they lost it. Not sure of whats happening now but its one of the planes I want most too.

I think we should get a 1945 P-47 or P-51.

We have the 1945 Go-229 A-1
1945 Dora
1945 Me- 262 A-1a/U4

Couple of 45 Yaks.

We should atleast have a 1945:

P-47, P-51, and or Spitfire.

I think first priority should be given to torpedo bombers and some other ai planes made flyable. You Jug guys might have to be happy with the ones you have now. I can already see the gripe line forming and the game is not even released yet. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

But hey with the corsair who need the Jug N variant, corsair can carry just as much lol.

The only way we are going to get an N model is if somebody steps up makes the model and cockpit. I want an N model as bad as anybody. I've been lobbying for it for ages now along with alot of other people. It's not about having another ground pounder..it's about ahving a Jug that is up to date along with the rest of teh 45 and hypothetical plnes we ahve in the game. I'm a dedicated Jug pilot..mostly air to air.....I'm not a ground pounder. I want a Jug that is compatible to the later fighters. Ok I'm venting..sorry. Like i said..the only way to get an N model in the game is by somebody making it and enough of us presenting our wants in a rational way to Oleg. Make the modell..make the cockpit.....present the data.

I rather see a P-47M then a P-47N

I could live with either one Snow_Wolf but we would have a better chance of getting the N model in the game because the N was used in the Pacific theather and that's where the emphasis is going to be right now.

The Corsair was a Navy/Marine bird. We want the N model Jug, period. It's not an option for many of us to simply fly the Corsair instead.

It's realy not a competition between the P-47N and F4U-4 or others on who SHOULD get in. No doubt there are alot of planes which should be in, and the P-47N is one of them.

Like its been said, the N model won't just appear, someone has to make it.

The Spitfire XIV and Mk22 are being modelled although im not sure of eithers status other than reading icefires threads on netwings and one of Olegs buddies is doing the XIV and Biggs is doing the Mk22. We have a 1945 Mustang, the Mustang H I don't think saw much service and the mainstay mustang in 1945 is the 'D'.

Any more Jugs would be good and much appreciated but the D27 can mix it up with any other late war fighter!

While you're at it, throw in an early P-38 and a P-38L that works like it's supposed to. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

P-47-N saw TONS of service in the pacific theater. plus it looks a little bit more cool and different than the D models. its much much faster too. the M model is similar in performance to the N but i believe more N models were made and as i said the N looks bad @zz

this bird is as necessary as all of the late war jap planes. period.

ReDeth..I couldn't agree more. Give me my bad@zz Jug. More speed..more speed and more speed. Not all M models had the fillet on the tail to help with stability too.

A P-47N would be fantastic...but that project seems to have had some setbacks.

Update on the Spitfire situation too (since it was brought up). Oleg confused the Mark 22 with the Mark 14. Biggs is doing the Mark 22, I'm now heading a small group of guys (hopefully) to finish off the Mark 14...which we've got support from the original modeler Fievel and a couple of other guys. We're hoping to hear from Jeronimo regarding the IX/V cockpit too.

No...you guys get no more Jugs, your spoiled. You have to wait, the Japanese don't even have one version of their Jug the Shoki AI or Flyable and you guys are clamoring for another variant of a plane you already have. Spoiled spoiled.

Virtual P-47 Pilots Association (http://invisionfree.com/forums/310th_VFBG/index.php?showforum=25)
Kind of an idea i had. i thought it would be nice to have our own forum for P:-47's virtual pilots to gather and mingle. share idea's and information about our beloved Thunderbolt. and basilcally chew the fat on all things JUG.
enjoy. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

No, you'd suffocate http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif. I thought the N was in the release, but it appears not.

I'd like to add that while the P-47N was a key player later in the war, it only arrived to pacific units in spring of '45. The majority of the fighting Jugs were D model razorbacks in the pacific.

I too would like to see the N flyable in the game, however the project has had a serious setback. I do not know if it will happen or not, but know that I tried guys. I have to agree that the P-47N is as important as any other late war aircraft we are getting and rightfully deserves to be put in, if only it can be done.

Well all i can say is that the one modeler that was working on the p-47N lost all the work he had in a crash. Gibbage repeatedly reminds these guys to back up thier work to disk.
some of them just don't listen.
As for the modeler that was working on the N....
i'm not knocking the guy for trying, but i doubt he has the skills to do it. i have yet to see one prodject he has stated compleated. I don't think we should rest our hopes for a P-47N on the shoulders of a 17 year old kid.
the only chance we would have of getting this done is to approach the orginal p-47 modelers in Brazil and beg them to take on the task and promise all the help we can give.

But again Luthier and Oleg have all of the best modelers working on other prodjects. So...i really have no hope. As for the P-47M Oleg has already said NO. so that ain't happening.
I would be willing to pay 1c;Maddox/UBI for a flyble p-47 M/N if need be. Hell i'd buy 2 if it'd convence them toi Git'er done.
Fat chance. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/51.gif
