Dunno if you guys have heard this before.. anyway, here is a 36 minutes telephone interview with Donald Macintosh - a Royal Air Force bomber pilot of a Lancaster bomber in 1944, part of the squadron that sank the Tirpitz. The site includes both the audio and a transcript of an interview with him and his wartime experiences.

Good read, thanks for posting. I know the fellow makes light of it but he must've been a virtuoso pilot.

Interesting stuff. Shame that the interviewer doesn't really know what he's talking about, but I suppose these things are to be expected...

Amazing that the interviewee retains such precise technical knowledge after all these years (and that he puts up with the interviewer)!
