"For your viewing pleasure we give you the final packshot of IL2 Sturmovik: 1946. Click below for a larger image of it and here are the contents:

1946 includes:
The PE-2 campaign
The Sturmoviks over Manchuria campaign
The 1946 campaign (after one we name the product)
A detailed 450 pages long Plane Guide (in UK only)
Exclusive videos making of videos (in UK only)
Exclusive glance at Storm of War? Battle of Britain"

-From the PF site News...

Does this mean that only The UK will receive 'the book'?
The video making video, doesn't interest me (personally) too much but the guide does.
Will it be hardcopy or electronic?

Seeking clarification to these and maybe other questions.....<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

Well "UK only" seems pretty clear http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

The 'book' will almost certainly be electronic. I have a 300 page book in front of me right now, and the paper thickness is equal to that of a DVD case http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Perhaps the guide and videos are on the same disc, which will not be in the US version.

Instead of a diatribe about double standards, I'll just say I hope these things will be made available online for the western customers. Shafting Americans is one thing, but shafting Canadians is a crime against humanity.

The document and making-of video is more appealing to me than the game itself.

UbiSoft, despite all reason, does support the sim (after a fashion), but whoever is in charge of making info available for them should be fired, or perhaps slapped, and then fired

I didn't think there was a 'US version'

Guess we need clarification from GoGamer.

I hope it's the UK version http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

I sent an email into Gogamer specifically asking weather or not I could purchase the "UK" version of 1946 and have it shipped to the US. I should hear something today or tomorrow. I'll post the response here for you guys.

The item listed for preorder at gogamer is followed by '(I)', which I take to mean 'import'. I suspect it will indeed be the UK version.

Does that mean that those who order from the US to import will have the region problem with the DVDs?

This is the question that needs to be resolved.

There are no region conflicts with software on DVDs. Only conflicts when dealing with movies on DVD.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

I have some doubts: Is it true that it will include IL2 FB+AEP+PF and all the patches?

It means that I just need IL2 1946 to have all that?

And when will it be released in Brazil?

Said it before more times then I can count.....

Quit thinking "Nationalities" as to the product itself and think "Languages"......UK=English langauage......To have to translate the .pdf to Russian, German, French, Etc. would of cost a fortune and taken forever.......

However, even if in english most of it I'm going to guess will just take a little common sense to figure out, and if lucky if it is in a .pdf format may be able to cut and paste text to a translator.

I swear, it's like kids fussing and fighting worried Bobby got more then him. Worst part is these threads have been posted by the very people that get what they want....Everyone else ripped off. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/51.gif<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

How does one take that??

If UK = English language and Australia is (well at least the time time I heard anybody speak, or even spoke myself) is also english language and they are the two reported release outlets atm...one would sort think (obvious wrongly) that the releases are (the all upsetting) "nationalised", or even "regional" for that matter... Hence the question
If it is ( the guide)in electronic form does Google Language Services (free) really cost that much to use? and if it is in hardcopy form (preferred as it would be nice to have an original collecter's item), is it just as expensive to have it translated into regional versions, considering it is only a change of master file at the printing process?

http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/blink.gif

Taking into account that retail cost of the product is probably the same<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

I'm still amazed at how they have made us eager to repurchase the same game several times over the past few years.

Actually......It's more like "I'm still amazed they made numerous versions of the same thing letting the players boss them around like that"........Not one version, full install or download was not begged - pleaded - whined - griped - bi*ched - etc. for by the players, making Maddox Games jump through hoops to give it, only to have the ungrateful players recant their own words and begin griping about getting EXACTLY what they wanted and more.....

That is what is amazing that M.G. has been so generous with us.....<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

I still wanna know if someday they will sell it on Brazilian stores... I don't wanna know if there will be a portuguese version, afterall, 90% of the games in here are in English...
