I was wondering how long before someone would post the question of "who is going?". See some of you there. I'll wear the Victory shirt.

How is this airshow? What warbirds are there? A co-worker of mine is doing the hornet side of the legacy flight. A female pilot by the way. Be sure to say hi to "Sweaty" for me.

I'll be there both days. The good thing about owning a hangar there is I get to go to the show free.

Dddsflyer you own a hanger at the airport? Well I guess we can expect you to set up the IL-2 hospitality hanger then http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_razz.gif Just kidding my friend!

Chino is one of the best, if not the biggest airshow featuring almost ALL warbirds. They have an F-18 and A-10 demo this year, but they will also pair of the demo's with haritage flights. Like an A-10 flying wing and wing with a P-47! At the end of the show, they get ALL the birds up in the air for a giant warbird parrade with 50+ birds. Last year here is a list of what I remember flying ALL AT ONE TIME!

5 B-25's
1 B-17
10 P-51
2 Spitfires
1 Hurricane
3 F7F
1 F8F
2 F6F
3 FM2
2 P-38's
2 F4U
2 P-47
1 P-40
2 TBD's
2 A6M's
and many many more. All in the air over the same airfield. Its AMAZING!!!!!

I was there all day yesterday, and it was a hoot! Five-count'em- five P-47s (one razorback!)in the air at the same time, a pair of Zeros, a P-38, a Hurricane, a B-17 all in the air with the usual suspects -Mustangs, Spits (one Mk XIV/XVIII, couldn't tell which), Bearcats, Sea Furies, an FM-2, a few Skyraiders, a pair of B-25s, and a couple of military jets for more modern tastes.

Definitely worth the moderate dehydration (we brought over a gallon of Gatorade for two adults and a five year old, and still had to buy more), a bit of sunburn (always remember to take off your watch and put the sunscreen on under the watchband area). And film-lots of film! I went through four rolls-90+ shots, and ran out before the big finale with all the classic warbirds in the air at the same time...

cheers

Oh, no! =( I wish I could have gone. But I wouldn't have had a ride. Too late now, though.

;_; I've been going to it for about 2 years now.

..I guess there's next year.

Chino is always a great Airshow !

And is always HOT !

Don't forget the featured speakers and aircraft they have on a month to month basis---very worthwhile and interesting.

Words cannot describe how awesome it is to see all those old warbirds and listen to the sound of all that avgas pouring through those big old engines. The A-10s and F-16 are OK but just nothing like the old birds. Too bad they could't shoot the GAU-8 30mm on the A-10. I'd pay to see and hear that. After the show I had to get in the air so I took off following 2 Sea Furies and an F7F. The local approach controller was having kittens with all those planes in the air going in all different directions after the show. What a grouch. I always said those guys can't walk and chew gum at the same time.
