So I don't play much but nonetheless have in mind to get a nice stick.

I want FFB having tried it the other night and found you could fly by feel and concentrate on SA.

But it seems there are only 2 sticks? Logitech and discontinued MS? Is this really it? My buddy has a MS FFB and I should have played it back toback but the little I did suggests it is nicer by a fair bit. Comments appreciated.....

G'day

I have found that the Logitec twist-rudders tend to cr@p out after about 2-6 months. I have gone through 3 of those sticks and my buddy went through 2. Then I bought a M$ FFB 2 and have had no problems for the last 2 years. Yes, they aren't supporting them anymore and they are getting harder to find,(and no cheaper). Try E-bay if worse comes to worst. They are currently selling in the stores (if you can find one) for about $170 Canadian...London Drugs in case you want to know.

$59 ?!? I paid $159 (Cdn) for my MS FFB2.

Regardless, great stick. Good solid feel, nice effects, great immersion. Can't imagine going back to a lifeless no FFB stick. Would be like playing in B&W.

Buy as many FFB2's as you can. They will be worth $100's on Ebay in a few years (new condition, of course)

Ah mate...that exchange rate is pretty nasty. Mind you, I bought mine originally for $110 Cdn. I agree with your sentiments exactly..I can not enjoy myself as much playing with a non FFB stick now. I will have to buy another as a spare because I do not want a Logitec.

Thank you all. MS it is.

Is there any way to get the MS stick to work with analog rudders? I have some old CH pedals go to an old style joystick port.... but I suppose Gates and the boys could care less about the piles of perfectly good hardware that builds up in mounds everytime they introduce a new version of windows.... after all if you have 337 billion dollars what's a set of pedals to you.... let them eat cake. Toss the pedals?

Salut

I have the USB CH Pedals and USB Throttle.. and 4 /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif FFB2.. on the shelf.. don't know about the analog one though.

The FFB2 is a vastly superior technology, optical encoding, than the Cougar (ducks) !
