I am a HUGE myst fan but I will not be subscribing to the online version. What should I expect from the single player mode? Can I get the full story from single player? I would hate to buy this and then not have it really end but just encourage you to continue online. thanks for the help http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

why not play live? you get a month free right now after the prologue ends. Any good game leaves you wanting more, that basically is what this game does. Hence the impatience of most on this forum to get into Uru Live.

I won't be able to afford the game till next semester (broke cs major)...I figure by that time it won't be free anymore http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif So when I do buy it I want to make sure the single player game itself is worth the money or is it more a focus on the online game.

the game will probably be cheaper by then so yeah I would think so. For full price I didn't think the single player game was worth it, but I plan on playing Uru Live.

There's a definite story if you read absolutely everything. But just like the other Myst games it will leave you wanting more. Perhaps a little more than is normal ...

The single player game has a beginning, middle, and end. You have a quest that does get completed.

However, it is set in an ongoing world, so just because you finished a game does not mean it's all over. You only finished the first novel in the series. While it's enjoyable and worthwhile in it's own right, continuing the series is even more enjoyable.

Or so I hear. I registered over a week ago for Live and still have not gotten an invite.

What can you expect from Uru Prime?

A banquet for the eyes. A feast for the brain. A slight ache for both wrists.

According to the box, the game is deeper than time itself. I don't know about that, but it's definately more fun the a pantload full of angry scorpions. It's easier than previous Myst games on some levels - it obviously requires a slightly different set of problem solving skills at times due to it's 3D nature. If you've enjoyed previous Myst games I don't think UruPrime will melt your brain - it should tickle it in all the right places.
