I'happy to present you a new IL2 utility :
IL2 Mission Log Reader

In few words, you can now, read the mission log file, see all events and statistics, on a map and you can export it on a HTML file

More informations and download here :

Just last night I had to open the "eventlog" file for information relating to events during an online dogfight. To do so, I had to open it up with notepad, and now it still looks like a notepad file, with no way I can see of changing it back.

And then today comes, and I see this eventlog reader, and couldnt download it fast enought! LOL, however, it only gives me an error when trying to open the eventlog file! If the notepad eventlog needs to be changed back to the "original" kind of file it was before I can use this utility, is there some way I can change it back???

Any help reguarding this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hi,
Yes we know this issue and we work on it.
First , you dont need to do anything on your "evenlog.lst" file. And IL2MLR dont do any modification on it.
Second the error you report is due to your (us) log format who is a little bit diferent than ours (fr) format
Third : the corrected version is on the website now http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
i hoppe this one works, it works with the log sent by other players http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Very Nice!

I'll get it later when I am able to get back into the house. I walked out this moring to go Turkey Hunting and left my keys inside.. Lucky for me I have a spare set of truck keys stashed.

And again lucky that I had detatched garage open already. I'm posting from my TS server. LOL

KnellKnell be sure (if not already done)to insert restriction that no data can be accessed until mission is finished thats the reason i wont publish such things for public use. Some can cheat with such tools and will do as i learned the hard way http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif .

Maybe some of you not know this tweak about the program IL2MLR.
When you start the program, before load a log, you can change the Logo, displayed. Just click on it and load the file you want. Your team logo or anything else.
Then, please, be kind to take a screenshot and send it to us. We will make a page on the web site with all squad using the program.

Thx
.

Bump. That's a very sensitive issue. And Oleg should remove coordinate information from some event logs.

Sorry but in anyway, the log file is readable whenever you want, by any means you want. it s just a text file... Cheating is bad, but a cheater who try to do two things in same times, read a log and pilot a plane, is a to easy target for me, and i suposed that it s the same for all of you, guys http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Whenever you want doesnt mean all can find the file or all can find the correct information in time to use it. About 80 % of users have no clue about such files or wouldnt get on the idea to watch there but all can easily switch tasks to dataread program information. Something to consider.

Well i got a alpha blending map with coords over il2 cockpit but intention was entirely different to cheating had something to do with 3d plot coords but thats another topic. But i wouldnt call it easy target ,)

Anyway was just a advice to reduce ammount of possible cheaters will be fixed otherwise anyway soon.

Yeah mate you're correct. But you have also give them idea how to cheat, and BTW I still don't get what I can gain by tweak some info in eventlog.lst http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/35.gif.

Also, this program doesn't work for me. Sometimes I get
"Error while reading the file!" message, and sometimes I get only one person in the pilot list (player) and in the stat boxes it says N/A.

My conf.ini:

[game]
eventlog=eventlog.lst
eventlogkeep=1

[HotKey Console]
LOG=0
LOGTIME=1
LOGFILE=logfile.log
LOGKEEP=1

Hi,
Did you send the log to the dev with the error message ?
It s the only way to correct a bug

Thx

Thanks for your response m8. I have corrected these lines within conf.ini by comparing them to conf.ini in my backup IL2 folder. It works now. It was bug in my setup in conf.ini, not a IL-2 MLR program bug http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/35.gif.

BTW downloading maps now http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif.
Maybe I stated this too early (haven't tested all features etc.), but seems to me that this program is among top 5 essential ones for FB.
Excellent work. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif
