I'd like to send some track files to friends who don't have the game. Is there a piece of software that can convert this track to MPEG or another video format??

Do a search of the threads for "guncam", there's a site with free software that saves it to look like old war guncam footage that's even better then a track. The only other way is to use a desktop capture that ATI uses with its bundled software that will save it as a mpeg 1 file, my old ATI card did that, wonder card.

You can also use FRAPS to record your game screen to a video file, but this sizes can be large. You might be able to recompress the files that FRAPS makes, but I've not tried.

Also, you won't get sound with FRAPS. But you can use a program like Vdub or tmpg to convert/compress it to an avi or mpeg of suitable size. Personally I use Studio8 to edit/compress video captured with FRAPS, but it's not freeware.

I switch to windowed 640x480 mode, replay the track using fraps to capture.
