This D520 is beautiful, but the D520 which was in development for FB had very wrong shapes!

the caudron renault cr714c1 was started, but it is far from being finished...

someone had started working on the d520, so nobody else cared to start working on it...

if i can manage to finish the caudron one day, i will have a look at the d520, i have some docs about it...

But first, i need to finish what i have begun, if i can't finish one model, no use to begin others...

If somebody is interested in modelling french planes, i have some docs about D520, MB150/MB152, MS406(external already in game)...

I can try to get my hands on books about other planes as well.

Maybe somebody living in Paris (not my case) could gather some more docs from the Centre de documentation du Musée de l'air et de l'espace or from the Service Historique de l'Armée de l'Air (SHAA).

IIRC correctly, the Vichy French government in Hanoi collaborated with the Japanese. There was even US Navy action against them.

Great plane, pity it arrived late for the French- was fully capable of matching any opposition aircraft. Victory figures are impressive considering it arrived late and therefore pilots weren't properly trained on it, and airfields were constantly on the move to get out of the way of the German advance.
If anybody decides to model it i'll buy them a few pints!!!!! No seriously would be great to have it. Who knows: BoB will have add-ons.

Yeah,I've always heard that the D.520 was the equal to a Bf-109E,and the only French fighter that would've been truly effective in the defense of France. But like you said, it came too late to make a real difference.....

Yeah, we're definitively in need of french and italian planes. The more the better.
