HI

I have a new calling.

Lately, I'm seeing a lot of pilots in the DF rooms flying with one hand on the stick and the other on the "jump to lightspeed" button.

I have now dedicated myself to shooting these losers only.

Now, this takes a fair amount of concentration, so I have a request of the other players in Warclouds.(Not intended to bad mouth this excellent server, it's just the one I happen to be flying most at the moment)

If you are blue and see a P39/63 chasing one of these yahoos, please don't come after me as I am very focused on who I'm chasing. I'm trying to teach this guy a lesson and will shoot him down at the cost of my own plane.

In return, if I see a blue chasing a red zinger, I will happily fly along side and enjoy the show. I may even join in if you need it. I really don't like these guys. IMO, it takes a lot of the fun out of these rooms.

A note also to those of you (usually the same people) who disconnect after taking a few hits. This server at least, announces to all that some loser has disconnected after being hit. So, I still get the kill and your name is out there for all to see.

Think about it.

Rant over

As an Ace who can score at will, I swear to always offer you my assistance in shooting down these cheats.

You go, Freelancer!!! We need more like you in the ranks of the "Cheater Annihilators". I like to keep killing them until they leave the server. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

It's a blast killing them while I make them so mad by taunting them at the same time, they can't even fly straight anymore. That's when their cursing usually starts. I pride myself on not having to resort to such low-brow terms when engaging in a battle of wits with known cheaters. However, in the wits department, most of them are basically unarmed. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

LOL @ Baldie, I use that line all the time. It is so satisfying to me to expose a cheat and then proceed to show him what real skill is.

I do tend to forget however, that others reading the chat in the game, may not be privy to the history of the cheater and might interpret the words as boastful, instead of the intended meaning. But, meh, what're ya gonna do? http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

No, that wouldn't work here, rules and such.

I'm of the distinct opinion that those that know, know. If there were a blind poll of all that fly at HyperLobby, you would see a distinct list of "favorites" magically appear. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/59.gif

um, yeah, me to. Just as i was about to try and start flying online, i see this. I thought IL2 was cheat proof. ive never seen anything about this. is this just on one server, or is this a feature in the sim some of us have never heard of?

Seems good that some guys are being exterminators of such. That 37mm should be cool, but youre better off in the 63.

I'm glad to see I'm not alone. I may just take you up on your offers sometime.

A couple or three of us on coms could really make life miserable for these bozos.

Maybe a corps of dedicated turret gunners in aircraft parked on all runways http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif. Each time the rats spawn, they get blown away immediately. Eventually they'd just give up and go back to Counterstrike http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

Unfortunately, in some squad's eyes, they are not doing anything wrong by causing lag intentionally. They play in the name of what they call "fun", which I'm starting to realize to them means anything goes, from Speed Gear to Print Screen to Disconnecting to inducing lag via any means possible.

For them, it's a part of the game. To me it's them being outclassed and they need to do anything they can to make up for their lack of proper training.

Soooo many mediocre squadrons on HL these days that use the above BS. Why half of them even bother is beyond me. It used to be that a squadron stood for honor, integrity and they would do anything to protect their squad's rep.

Nowadays, it's anything goes and after visiting with an old squad of mine recently, I became disgusted with the fact that the CO has not maintained that former integrity. His connection is worse now that he has cable over his past dial-up, lol.

He also has several members who are Speed Gear pilots, intentionally not using speed check on their hosted servers and when confronted, just make up excuses. Funny, if they had nothing to hide, you figure at least one of them would step-up to the plate and prove their skill on a server that checks for the BS that they are using.

How sad and pitiful it must be when you need to cheat to impress someone online. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/51.gif
