Nothing scientific here but I was just wondering how they all compare. The main surprise to me was the size of the F6. It's no that clear in these pictures but it is *huge*. Around the same as the Avenger. I was also surprised how tiny the Russian planes are.

What do you guys think?

I think these pictures are cool. What a neat study of relative sizes.

It's not the size that matters, it's how you use it http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Great screenie by the way. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif
I've not seen anything quite like it before.

This thread has a couple images of all the planes in the game parked at an airfield. This is an old pic now. I think we'd need to grow the airfield to do that pic again...

I am pretty good about checking out all(OK, most of) the threads. Must have not gone on to page 2.
It's a shame I missed that one.

I think these planes are watching a movie in a fly-in cinema.

I always thought the B-24 was quite a bit bigger then the B-17. I'm confused? http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_confused.gif

B-24 Dimensions:

Not really. I saw them both up close parked side by side in Reading, PA a few years ago.

I'd say they are posing for a family photograph.

Full mission builder no doubt. Would take a minute or two at the most to arrange that.

P-38 looks a little small, as does the Corsair. F6F is way too big. A6M looks a little big too.

Love that second picture though. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif

Looking at the sizes (the lines on the runway help) the P-38 wingspan (4 blocks) is half that of the B-17 (about 8 blocks) (correct) and about 30% bigger than the P-47 (just over 3 blocks) (correct) which is about the same as the F6F (correct) and F4U (correct). It all looks right to me.
