While not directly related to AC2, it is related to something in it: the Medici family.

I thought people might find it interesting http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Coolfind, Coolgerb! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_razz.gif

Two paintings that were once thought to be something else are now revealed to be linked to some of ACII's characters and families.

Something's going on here! http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_eek.gif

Wish I could change the name http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/51.gif
Using the nick 'Mr. Gerbz' since about 3 years now.

Anyway, now that I'm waiting for AC2, I'm starting to notice a lot of things revolving around that time http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif

I like these sorts of threads on this message board! It allows me to pretend I'm getting cultured while playing a video game. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

The Medicis are a large family of merchants that served as nobles in Florence during the time of AC2. On the Live By the Creed community site, you can choose if you want to side with them or the Doges, their Venetian counterparts.

I know the Medicis play a part in AC2 as well--do they help or hurt Ezio? It's 3AM so my brain isn't working quite as well as it should.

Also, lollerskates@Xanatos' correction.

With a painting of Da Vincis found, now something about the Medicics, both in AC2, I smell a conspiracy............. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/shady.gif

Abstergo is obviously creating false evidence or something to enthrall us...... http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/51.gif

I really just wanted to know if there is a special reason to look at Cosimo de'Medici (Lorenzo il Magnifico's grandfather) because he actually died 12 years before the beginning of AC2 story? Maybe you know something I don't about his presence in the game!
Why you had to insult me! I was just confused and curious!

When you said "illuminate" you sounded like one of Jubair's diciples(sp?), seemed to fit with the whole 'Assassin' thing.
