On the occasion of the ECFSS, which took place on Sunday Oct. 6th in Birmingham, Ubisoft and 1C:Maddox Games announced their new publishing deal which includes a brand new WWII flight sim based on the Battle of Britain and an expansion pack for IL-2 Sturmovik : Forgotten Battles.

The Battle of Britain (working title), following in the steps of IL-2, will be packed with even more historical realism and will use a new engine, a dynamic campaign system and new weather effects. It will take place in 1940 during the Battle of Britain and will allow players to fly for the British, German or Italian air forces.

BoB is scheduled for release in 2005.

Hmm. I kinda hoped that the next game would still focus on Eastern front, so looks like we can forget the word Forgotten now.. so it is just IL:2 Battles: Battle Of Britain /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

Anyway, I hope the coming sim will be compatible with the current product of IL2:FB, so we can still have all the airplanes we have now (and the new ones also).. just with improved engine /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

Yup, I am disappointed.. we have had plenty of Battle of britain-simulations, and one more to the long list.. SWOTL, EAW, AIW, Aces High (in a way /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-tongue.gif ), CSF-series.. and now IL-2 too .. Reason I started to play IL-2, is that it focused on other, never modelled before eastern front /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-sad.gif

Battle of Britain can't be compared to massive battles of the eastern front, so will be simply boring air dogfighting on high altitudes, no ground support ..

Guys, if it is the Battle of Britain and it's going to be historically accurate, why on earth would there be Mig's & Yaks etc in it? He mentioned around 25 flyable planes so we'll, at last, have Spitfires to play with http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Oleg stressed that it is going to be historically accurate and be built from the ground-up, i.e. start from scratch with the planes being hundreds of percent better than the FB ones in every way. Given Oleg's statements about it being historically accurate, I can't see why there would be any planes other than the ones that actually were used during the fight.

Matt.

How dare you say it's boring? You are talking about a fundamentally important battle of World War II here, one that, if we had lost, the whole world would have been very different. You people should seriously think before you type. /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-indifferent.gif

Does this sound 'boring'?

On 10 July 60 Stukas, together with 75 Dornier 17s, assembled over the French coast, where they were joined by an escort of 200 Bf109's. As the formation approached the (shipping) convoy, 30 Spitfires came hurtling in......

The first time I'd seen a really large German formation. The controller on the RT said, 'One hundred-plus bandits' and then told us the direction. Moments later he said, 'Two hundred-plus bandits' and then finally he said, 'Very many bandits!'. I happened to be flying L1082, which was our oldest Spitfire and slowest. I had some difficulty keeping up, however I did more or less. I remember the incredible sight of this great swarm of rotating German aircraft, each following their own tail, going round and round emmitting condensation trails. The feeling I had, and a lot of us had, was, What are these buggers doing here? How dare they? It was really quite a shock to see this vast number of black crosses and swastikas in the sky over our country. Then we all plunged in.
John Bisdee, 21st July, 609 Squadron.

Be happy that we have a new, start from scratch, sim coming.

Matt.

I have a feeling this sim is going to start with BoB - and then expand to other battles. the BoB is a very logical starting theatre - marketwise.

But 2005? I could be taking my grand-kids to the movies in my new hovercar by then!

Zayets, I know you find it boring but lots of people are happy with the decision, me included /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

Look at it from this perspective if you don't like/want the BoB scenario. Oleg needs to develop a new game/graphics/physics engines. It is the best scenario with which to develop a new game because:

a. It's over varying terrain, including a huge city.
b. Hundres/Thousands of planes airborne at once.
c. Variable weather.
d. New technology like Radar etc.

Those factors combine to make a perfect setting for a sim and for developing a new gaming engine that will be scalable, because it needs to be. I am sure there will be spin-offs from it, maybe you'll get your boring alternative afterall /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

I really thought we were going to get the Med theatre...so in a way I am disapointed but also happy.

FB spaned 3.5-4 years, but the BoB went on for less than 2 years so what gives? Will the FB aircraft be give new FMs? will we still be able to use the old maps? Will we ever get a med sim????

what's the timespan covered ?

Is it BoB only or will it go down from 1940 till 1945.

25 planes (of counting variants in) is somehow an inaccurate number.

is it 25 DIFFERENT planes or is it 25 including variants.

On behalf of the topic if it's boring or not. It's your own bias. I don't care really. As long as I don't have to fight in barred cockpits and vs. visitors from mars in a prop-version of an IS-2-Tank I don't care http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

If they'd concentrate on a smaller timespan (let's say 1940-1942 or so) chances are high we will have a very accurate FM so that the planes behave as they should as they're roughly comparable. If they go the whole length of the war 25 planes are too few. I think by the time IL-2:"forgout about FB" http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif is finished FB will look like an arcade game... http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Let's see what happens. One's for sure. With the announcement of this project there's a lot of money going into the dircection of maddox (which is good for them). But this also definitely means that FB is running out (which happens to all good/bad SW out there) and since the addon is annouced for january I think this will be it...

Happy hunting.

Maybe it's not what you want, but it is to alot of us in the UK and Europe it's about time someone had a decent crack at this. The other sims you list regarding the B o B were not just B o B and they are 10 years out of date. You and the other moaners don't have to fly it but give others that do a chance to..I for one would also like to see all the other theatres done as well but i'm getting fed up with the Russian front now,i'm not going to tie your hands behind your back and force you and others to buy it,it's nice to have a choice and opportunity albeit in 2 years time.

I think you're right Jabo, FB is toward the end of it's life. I would also rather have a smaller number of mega-accurately modelled planes, with superb graphics etc - it will be absolutely fantastic, I can't wait. There is no better scenario to bring the new engine into the world with either /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

Not only that, but it must be looking rosey for Flight Sims in general, Ubi wouldn't be funding another one if there wasn't a good market.

Good news!

I look forward to taking off from Duxford in a mad scramble and flying over the countryside I live in.

I look forward to crisp summer days with the sky criss crossed with vapour trails as our brave boys in blue sock it to the hun.

I also look forward to taking on large bomber formations as they try to pound London (no bad thing)

I also look forward to this game pulling in new simmers into the market and helping Maddox earn some decent money.

Theres more chance of the less well known battles being recreated if they have a top seller under their belt and a large sack of notes in the bank.

And as someone else also mentioned, I look forward to highly detailed cows as part of the ground detail. Obviously not so keen on the blood part of that tho.

For all you whining about the new BOB sim, how can you possibly claim boring, when you don't know what is in store.

It's like a child saying that they don't like a new food group because it doesn't look right.

In keeping with the child like behaviour lets throw all our toys out of the cot and scream, because Santa is not gonna bring us what the hell we had asked for!

This new sim will be great anyway it goes. The theatre may not be your first choice, but it will be the best of its type on the market an you all know it.

Cheers, /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

Excuse me! but who are you to say who can post here and what they can say! That may have been the case if we had lost the BoB and we were living under a Nazi regime, but fortunatly that is not the case. Perhaps you wish that that were so? Shame on you. I am certainly not "knocking" the actual BoB and the valliant men and women who fought it in all walks of life, not just the aircrew. My family were affected by the blitz as much, maybe more so than any other Brit at the time. My Father in Law was in the London Fire Brigade during the blitz and he had a hell of a time! Yes, I,m proud we won the BoB. I happened to be commenting on Olegs' choice of his next flight sim. As someone else has pointed out, the BoB has been done many times before. I have no doubt that Oleg will do it better, and I will certainly buy it. I'm happy for all you that are looking forward to it, but I am happy that Oleg decided to do the Eastern Front in his first flight sim which we have now and is excellent. So, come the middle of 2005 a lot more flight simmers will be happy. And while it's still a free contry I WILL have my say Farkitt!!

Do you READ? Sure does seem that you can not. Where in my post did I type in Il-2/FB? dah!!!

But let me re-phrase my post, so you can understand with your simple mind.

I HOPE 1C/MADDOX GAMES SPENDS MORE TIME DEVELOPING THE FMs THAN IN ADDING "EYECANDY".

At first, is it a sim about the Battle of England or a sim about the battles over England?

Very different, a sim only about the Battle of England is not so appealing to me (only the 109E for the German side, only the ugly Spit I for the British and the Hurri) but a sim about the battles over England with the dogfights between Spit Mk.V, IX and 190A-4 and A-5 would be rather interesting.

But to say the truth, I would have preferred a sim involving aircraft carriers, much more interesting on the tactical point of view for me!

Cheers,

'MiloMorai', you implied that it would be 'eye candy' which, to be frank, is complete rubbish. Oleg clearly stated that the aircraft will be 100's of percent better in _every_ respect. You, sir, are jumping to conclusions that are ill-founded, incorrect and just plain old wrong. If you were there yesterday, you would know what Oleg spoke about, you appear not to have been there so don't jump to conclusions.

Now, be a good chap and go and make the tea, do stick to things you are good at.

p.s. I couldn't care less if you bought it or not.

Boring... I'm disapointed... I was waiting for more MED missions/aircrafts or the wonderful Pacific theater with it's aircrafts carriers... Ok, will be a new sim with a new engine, more realistic aircrafts... But, there are already much simulators about BoB on stores. I don't wanna fly Spits, Hurricanes... I wanna fly B-17s, Liberators, Corsairs, Dauntless, Thunderbolts... Of course british guys are very happy with news, but i'm not. We must have freedom on this forum!

Oleg also mentioned that he is fed up with the moans and complaints on this forum,he also pointed out that everything so far has been free and you would'nt get that with any other developer, the sheer hard work/time that has gone into this alone means he will start charging for addons etc.
I don't blame him,if this had been micr****** you would'nt get what you've had.Give the guy a break,if you had been at the show yesterday you could see how much he has put into this,he spent a good time chatting and playing f/b with us.

Page two of the thread and still no one whining for a flyable p-51 for the BoB? Have I stumbled upon the wrong site? /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

BoB sounds a tad "been there, done that", till you think what the Sim world will be like on the next gen of computers...don't think anyone's P4 will be able to run the game.

Think as well of flyable Do-17's, Blenheims, Bostons, Boultons, and all the 'obscure' planes no one else had made flyable...we'll get them all I'm sure.

Hopefully we'll aslo get the Battle of France thrown in as well.

I am disappointed 1C isn't developing Eastern Front further. I was looking forward to a all new Sturmovik but will get all new BOB instead. Well, I'll enjoy any flight sim coming from Oleg's team.

Here's my thought why 1C decided to change a theater for the new sim. Both iterations of Sturmovik had commercial success. And we all know where the main revenue comes from. In US a copy of Forgotten Battles costs $40. In Russia a copy of Forgotten Battles with printed manuals and other cool stuff included is, if I'm not mistaken, about $5. Ubi, being a publisher, had studded preferences and opinions of western WWII sim lovers only. And what do gamers from UK and US want? They want a war theater they can relate to. As great and important Eastern Front was, western gamers cannot relate to it and hence cannot enjoy it as much as gamers from territories of the former Soviet Union can.

So I think Ubi said to Oleg: "If you want your new game to make money, you gotta make it a BOB game".

Hum Bader judging from your nickname you are a fan of the BoB, but please allow us not to be thrilled with it.

You must understand not everybody shares your interest. To me the BoB will be boring, and I won't even buy the game. It's very sad, because I know it'll be probably the best sim in the world when it's out.

But flying the BoB over and over again will be boring. Especially for the mud movers. Level bombing is boring as heck, the map will be boring. Fields and fields all over or sea all over, not a single mountain or something to play with. The same planes that you find in any sim. No opportunity for new stuff like A36A or P51A which were used in the Med and Italy. The brits will only be able to fly Air Air missions, which will get boring so quick too. German fighters too.

Booooooooooooooring!

Besides, with the campaign games that have been done so far, I doubt the campain will be as nice as it was in BoB - Their finest hour.

dude, it's going to be NEW ! fresh start job, Oleg made some subtle hints about parts of it being very very special, esp. multiplayer, but he wouldn't elaborate. I think that it will be anything but boring but, hey, we are all entitled to our own opinion. You guys must just get used to the fact that the decision has been made, live with it and look forward to what we'll get.

With all respect for Oleg&Co who have given us the best and most outstanding game ever.
I must say,
I am also very dissapointed,
I hoped we would get any of the
other Forgotten airwars, BoB has and will always be a famous battle all over the world, while the other airwars will just just keep on getting forgotten, although they were
just as important for the outcome of the war, as BoB,
and included aircafts from other contries in the world, wich would probably have satisfied more people around the globe.
This is my own thoughts, and I respect everybody elses

New or not I think the theater is boring. But you are right, the decision has been made, and we'll have to live with it. Not looking forward to what you'll get though.

Guys stop complaining and moaning for just ONE second and hear this:

I firmly believe that Oleg will not stop with JUST the BoB. Remember when he said that in time, he will expand to all theatres of the war? This BoB game will probably be the starting point for everything. From there to the Med, Pacific, you name it, he'll do it. Regardless, this game will be so good, it'll leave FB in the dust...that's damn good.

Your right, Sterile it is. My urologist is going to take care of that for me. With only a snip snip here and a little tug there. At least that's what he said, but I'm a little nervous. Also, I need to buy a tuxedo, after all, if your going to be impotent, you might as well look impotent. Right?

Anyway, it was a nasty thing to say, sorry. But man, a little common sense around here would go along way.

A long time reader of this forum the negative reaction to the announcement that a Ic games is developing a Battle of Britain based game has made my blood boil and levered my butt out of its virtual chair and make a few points.

1 Yes: the battle of Britain did not involve direct air to vehicle combat and this would be sorely missed

2 Yes: the Battle was primarily fought at a medium to high altitude (12000 to 22000 feet)

3 Yes: i, like so many others out there, was praying for a Nth Africa, Med or even late Italian based game.

4 However, the traditional focus of western theater sims has always started with the HMS/USS Britain idea (EAW, CFS3, The mighty 8th). It is the valiant and desperate struggle of Britain and her pilots that capture the attention of the western aviation and gaming public more than anyother feat of flying during WW2.

5 Therefore, for a follow on game for IC games to be most profitable and gain the best reception in the wider public a BoB based sim seems an excellent stand point.

Now, i have reviewed a few of the negatives listed in previous posts but would like to add a few positive points that i can see to a BoB based sim. Firstly the sim may not begin in July 41 but earlier, including the Battle of France. Secondly, the sim may not finish in Sept-oct 1941 but continue into the beginnings of the strategic aircampaign on the Continent (imagine escorting Short Strilings or Hampdens in a 4 cannon Hurricane to strike Lufftwaffe airbases in the pont de Calais, or intercepting low flying 109/190s making jabo attacks against the de Havilland aircraft works). Thirdly add ons may well give us Nth Africa 1942 or the Med in 1942-44. i personally do not mind forking out the bucks for high quality products that increase the scope of an existing excellent game (operation Flashpoint anyone?). Fourthly the BoB provided some of the most intense and varied fighting and fighter tactics of the whole war. Punch and counter punch, tactic and counter tactic were tried, discarded modified and rediscarded in an inventve and stressful 4 month period. fifthly, some 40+ types saw direct action in the BoB not including various mks. this provides not only depth and varitey, a la FB, but still gives modelers an easier job.

Finally ladies and gentleman, despite the setting of the game i for one am positive that the quality of this sim will be excellent. scarred from a recent flirtation with CFS3 i have returned to il2 and il2FB with a renewed respect for the work and dedication of the developers of the game. Dont write somethin off that you have only just heard about. Anyway that Oleg and Ubi went they were going to upset people so lets try to keep the volume of the whihing to somethng below that of a PW-R 2800 at full WEP

Thank you and good night, elvis has left the building

Personally, I'm THRILLED! /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif Sure the BoB has been done in other sims...crappily. It's about time somebody like Maddox approached it to do it right. It's one of my favorite scenarios and I'm glad to see it coming. And for those who are disappointed, I don't thing you should be. I think it's only going to be the starting point of a whole new generation of WWII sims that will expand to include many other theaters.

My only problem is that I'm probably not gonna be getting a new computer (even around 2005) that can handle that program. So, I may have to wait a while longer that everybody else. /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-sad.gif

Jensen,
wait and see, you'll see US players crying for missing Mustangs only some months after 1C's BoB release /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

BTW, 2005 to see a limited theatre of war like South of England? Even with the 1941's Channel and France clashes included its a real pity.

Again: North Africa, Malta, Sicily, South of Italy .... air battles, convoy escorts and battles, anti submarine warfare, amphibious ops .... much more interesting and with no need for US players to complain for the lack of Mustangs, B17 and B24.

Just as a thought in amongst all the vastly premature whining...

Forgive me if I'm missing something obvious here but I can't recall the Italians playing a role in the Battle of Britain.

If you can fly for the Italians, there's probably some other areas of the world than the English Channel in the pipeline here....

Sounds good to me.

The location does not matter much to me just as long as there is indeed a new sim being made--and from Oleg no less. This is very good news. Because, frankly, FB is becoming tiresome.

Good point, Dragon. They could have said, "Hey, we don't make enough money selling to this limited-audience, flightsim crowd, anyway, so we're taking our ducats elsewhere for 2005."

From a marketing standpoint, BoB makes perfect sense to capture a wider prospective audience. It is not the theater of WWII that I would have picked, but of course, I am not risking capital on this deal. Ubi is. If the sim is an unparalleled success (which I bet it will be), then maybe later add-ons can feature additional "forgotten battles" of the War or famous theaters such as the Pacific.

Yeah, just what we need: Another Eastern front sim.

Dude, we have had two in a row (well really, one plus a full price upgrade). Enough already with the eastern front.

There are far more interesting theaters for Sims than this.

How many times does the BOB have to be done?

Another friggin' campaign generator...what about an improved FMB for personal mission building?

It's gonna be hard to beat the campaign generator in Rowan's BOB. The source is out on this version of BOB and it is getting serious improvements.

I think 1C:Maddox should just buy out the rights to Rowan's BOB, like the the Falcon 4.0 is being taken over now by Xicat.

If the F/A-18 or other CFS by Xicat is any benchmark for the Xicat ability to build improvements for Falcon 4.0...It should be the absolute best news in the world for the Lomac developers.

Who knows how weird it'll get before it's over /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

rbstr44: Agreed from a marketing standpoint BOB makes perfect sense to capture a wider audience. One just has to look at the nations involved in this battle and to see why. I think the Med would have been a good choice as well because of the many nations that fought in this theatre but as you have said We are not risking capital on this deal UBI is. Perhaps one day the med could added as well. I think what we should hope for even more is that UBI will stay committed to this genre. I believe having IC Maddox in place to assist will be our ace in the hole going forward.

StG77 you make a good point.
Plus who knows maybe there will be a couple of add-ons for the current FB on top of those already announced. 2005 is a long way away- could be end of 2005. So until then add-ons can bring in some $ as well as amusement for us.

Guys c'mon, stop yer whinnin', and name callin' /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif .

Now, BoB has been done alot, BUT this next sim is gonna be a next gen sim, AND you need well known and popular titles to grab people attention for sales purposes. Sad to say Joe Public will give ya a blank star if confronted with a title called "Fight for Malta" or similar, whereas "Battle of Britain" raises some vague sense of understanding /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif .

After initial sales I'm sure they'll be developing other theatre add-ons. Also I have flown BoB re-enactments in Warbirds are it was FAR from boring when done realistically.

If this new sim has a truly dynamic campaign system then it'll kick major buttocks /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif .

i'd also point out that very few companies have any flight simulators in the pipeline. At least Oleg is gonna carry on supporting this rather niche market- no one else does as far as i know.
OK so BoB has been done- but because we are talking about a small time scale (months of combat not years) and limited number of planes it may very well mean that a lot of work will be done on flight engine and then add ons will bring other scenarios in. IL2 was an attempt to model nearly 5 years of war in one game. No wonder they didnt have time for other scenarios

looking forward to the Tally hoing!!!!!!!

Since when is making money a bad thing? Not like Maddox is working for free, and not like Ubi is making these games for altruistic reasons.

"and an expansion pack for IL-2 Sturmovik : Forgotten Battles."

Why is no-one asking about this?

2005 is along ways off. Best of luck with that one but personally I'd like to know what was said regarding the FB expansion.

Or IL-2 part 3 standalone version that it will likely turn out to be in the end like FB "the expansion to IL-2" did

I don't understand why some are complaining about a new BoB
sim simply because there have already been some released.
The fact is that even Rowan's BoB failed miserably to replicate the battle very well and had major graphics and
FM/DM problems and shortcomings. EAW was good in it's day but a joke even by he time Rowan's came out. So what's the problem if someone else has a crack at it??? I welcome it, since there are no other viable alternatives any more. Sure, I'd like to see North Africa too, since it is the real "forgotten battle." I'm sure they may work on bringing us that too.

WooHoo!

NO FW-190!!!

With only one flyable OKL fighter, the stupid Huns may just shut up with all the insults!

Personally, if I were a flight sim developer, no Axis plane would be flyable. It's simply not worth the insults.

The new sim is out in 2005,it is 18 months away or so and is completely new,why spend more time and effort on a sim that has become time expired when resources are going to be needed for the future.
I would think that addons would be ok for f/b but if we have the chance to get a really high quality new sim we ought to embrace it.
I think the B o B will be the first of many theatres with the new soft ware.I hope it will be a longer lasting programme thats adaptable for future developments and upgrades .

Glad you fans of Battle of Britain are getting a Maddox sim, no doubt it'll be the best ever. I just downloaded the Rowan's BoB demo, and it's pretty good, though my joystick doesn't seem to work right with it. Apparently there isn't much of the low level ground attack missions that I love so much in the BoB theater however. I'm not really a fan of dogfighting.

Also, great news on the free and paid add-ons. Glad to see lots of new ground objects and those new maps in the free add-on. /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

BTW, no one has asked that I've seen... Will the V1.2 patch be included with the free add-on? Or will we have to pay for the expansion pack to get it? Just wondering, since there was no mention made of whether the V1.2 would be a part of one of these two announced add-ons or a separate download in and of itself.

I'll be able to fly over where my parents are from.

All these people rabbiting on about Rowans BoB, what planet are you on, have any of you played it?

It had it's day three years ago and screwed up big time with a flight model none of you would accept, and it looks like and feels like a joke now compared to FB.

You say that in two years time we won't need a 1C BoB because Rowans old half finished user unfriendly BoB will still be around to challenge it.

No disrespect to those who have the Rowan source code, and those who still play it, but that game is over the hill.

I played it back then and I've played it recently with the mods and it does'nt cut the mustard in an IL2 world.

If you all hate the idea of the BoB so much why don't you go lobby the other developers and get of Olegs back you disgust me, selfish does'nt even begin to cover it.

Good point...also a new engine will have to include the ability to put about 1,000 planes in the air at the same time...along with all kinds of hellatious air combat.
The kind of air combat scenarios frequently faced in the BOB.

That is...if realism extends beyond the flight model. LOL

Also, all those calls from ground observers and radar stations for locating the enemy aircraft. The scrambles to get airborne and reach altitude in dog slow aircraft like the early spits and Hurricanes.

The fun part...we'll get new life out of the BF109-E /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

I personally would prefer the Mediterranean, Malta theatres if we're gonna really get into the slow movers. like the early Hurricanes, Swordfish, Fulmars, CR42s, and all the pokey Italian stuff, etc.

The Ardennes would be better, because the aircraft were faster, tougher, with more powerful weapons, the pilots were more experienced and you still had large numbers of aircraft in the air at the same time. Ground support was significantly improved and the FLAK guns were murderous...

I really could care less...I like the 1C:Maddox better than anything available now, so...

Like the little duck...if it doesn't rain. I'll walk.

I would be more happy if battle of britian was an addon for il2 fb and for thier new sim with the new engine, weather effects and physics had all countries and a full world map. But seeing ubi they do whats easiest and sell for full price. I just hope its a complete sim and comes with an ingame browser and hosting ability. I will definatly buy BoB when it comes out but it should be a addon for il2 fb not a stand alone, use fb as a testing platform till you get things right for a new engine

Pathetic whiners. I remember the same kind of damned snot nosed whining during my Red Baron 2 days. Nothing has changed. Like somebody said back then "If you dont like it, go build your own flight simulator, if not shut up"

Looks like a lot of you were spoiled rotten as children, now you can never be happy. I look forward to 109e's vs Spits and Hurri's. Either shooting down or defending Heinkel's in a brand new sim.
