View Full Version : Why can't I get my 109g over 400km/h in level flight?

With flying a bf109F4 or G6/AS I cannot get it over 400km/h at 95% throttle at a 2000m altitude.

I leave the prop setting at default (100%).

What am I doing wrong?

Auto/rad......sure your trimmed level. Try manual and lower your prop pitch as your speed increases.

Use auto prop in 109s except E. Trim it nicely.and throttle up to 103%. shouldn't be a problem to go faster.

Do you have your flaps and gear raised? Seriously tho, you should be able to achieve those speeds easily, especially in the G6 A/S. I can darn near reach that speed in a shalow climb in the G6 A/S.

Yes, my gear a flaps were up. I think my problem is I cannot stay at perfectly level flight, I keep climbing slightly because it's difficult for me to trim my plane perfectly.

check the gauges especially the rudder if its off a little it makes such a difference and won't let you into the 500-560 range even with radiators closed.
