It can be so that the P-51 on the picture is the P-51 s/n 44-63864, HL W built in 1944 and with Duxford as homebase. It shoot down 2 Me-262 and one Me-109 with Hubert Davis on the controls. It got the name Twilight Time.

After the war it was sold to Sweden and stayed in service there until 1953. Then the P-51 was sold to Israel and flew in IAF and took part in the Zues-war. It was grounded at the IAF museum at Hazerim AFB.
Somebody stole the a/c in 1986 and sold it to Sweden.
It flew in Sweden between 1986-91 until it was sold to Duxford Fighter collection.

From USA to Duxford to Sweden to Israel to Sweden and back to Duxford.
Maybe it eventually will go back to its roots and fly in USA.
Can anybody tell me if the P-51 in http://forums.ubi.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/23110283/m/9091094645
is this P-51 and fill in the story for the Twilight time after 2002.
