Does Anybody here from Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Bosnia or other parts of ex Yugoslavia have any idea about where the Yugoslavian Royal Air Force (that is, before world war 2) archives are located these days?
The air force officials in Belgrad haven't been very helpful http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-indifferent.gif
ANY help on locating the archives is very much appreciated. Also, if you have personal family information you wish to share on relatives who served in YRAF, the axis air services or the Balkan Air Force, this would be appreciated also.
In the latter case, please PM me and I'll try to arrange a proper email interview.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

This book talks about Dragan Savic and Boris Ciglic. Boris is a member of the Yugoslav Historical Research Group attached to the Airforce museum in Belgrade. Maybe you could mention their names in your search?

"Once (I think it was 31st aug. 1940), I was in a fight with four Hurricanes over Dover.
I was back over the channel when I saw another Hurricane coming from Calais, trailing white smoke, obviously in a bad way.
I flew up alongside him and escorted him all the way to England and waved goodbye.
A few weeks later the same thing happened to me.
That would never have happened in Russia - never". (Erich Rudorffer - 109 pilot)
