I am sure you heard that there is this 50%-off campaign on steam for buying certain Ubisoft products?

Assassin's Creed was avariable with 50% off and I thought it was a nice deal and I bought it.
But to tell you: it was fraud http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_mad.gif

I just stumbled across something where I really flipped over...

http://store.steampowered.com/app/15100/?cc=de
14.99 Which is atm $20.29 so about 29cent more than normal for us.
Same time (while the deal is active)
http://store.steampowered.com/app/15100/?cc=us
$9.99 Which is atm 7,38

So I know due to the Steamworks Developer Ubisoft is responsible for the price and I would like to why the EU has to pay THRICE (3 times) more than US ?

Sorry, but this is totally out of everything.

This is a time where I am ashamed I bought this game retail as it came out, when I see business strategies like that.

Now on THAT one I'd like to have an official voice.

edit: if it gets back to normal price, here the screenshots for not-believers

it's tuesday AC isnt on offer in any country it's back to full price for the entire world now. the AC offer was only on for monday and since it has been tuesday for over 21 hours that offer is long gone and POP will be about to go back to full price in the next few hours.

read the press release on steam it states 1 game from ubisoft will be half price for 1 day over the week meaning AC was half price till midnight last night, POP is half price till midnight today and a differant Ubi game will be half price tomorrow.

You don't really seem to understand:
I bought this game on monday for 15 .
But in the USA this game just costed 10 $, which is 7,38 around.

And Ubisoft decides for the prices on each country.

I just lost 7,38 unlike someone living on USA, and it's just not fair!

Agree with you. But I think this is a Steam issue as other games had exactly the same.

Lost planet was $10 for USA and E10 for Europe.

the biggest problem with the europ pricing system is when it came in it was roughly 1 = 1.50 so all prices were worked out that way, the same was used for the -$ conversion.

the problem is now the and are worth about the same and the shops dont account for changes in currency. it's like a while back 1 = $2 and eerything from america was dirt cheap because of the exchange rate. people in mainland europe just need to learn if you have a strong currency you will always get things cheaper on import. it's been this way for years in the UK were euro and US prices have been much cheaper than the british ones.

it's obviously just something new for mainland europe as very few currencies have ever matched the british . you just have to hope after all this crap now is over that the and $ picks up again then everything will even back out.
