This may already have been suggested by someone elsewhere. If so, please ignore this post.

When playing back tracks in external view with padlock on, the target aircraft is often blocked by the reference aircraft in the foreground.

One solution could be to change the fixed angular position of the target aircraft (in the background) to another position offset from the present centre of screen.

Another solution could be to allow the viewer to change the relative view angle position using the mouse, while maintaining padlock. ie as above but with a manually set angular position.

Have you just tried zooming out a tad? I've found that helps a lot.

Thank you for your suggestion. Yes, I do zoom out and also use the wide angle setting. But with both, the tgt still gets blocked unless the zoom out is large.

Downside to zooming out is not being able to see the foreground aircraft in all its glory of great skins!

Bump!!!

The idea of controlling the offset amount with the mouse is excellent.

But the initial view should already have some offset.
