Was browsing on ebay looking for a used cougar (PM me if interested..) and i found this:

Looks almost like part of a bombsight As it seems to calculate true airspeed / altitude given barometric pressure temperature and indicated altitude and speed but I am not convinced ?

In fact I think it just calculates true airspeed and altitude

My guess; part of a bombsight. It appears to have the function of telling you your height off the ground. Interseting that it asks for the "ground pressure". I assume they mean the air pressure at ground level. Weather conditions must have affected how it was read.

Interesting part.

Must be a precursor to the E6-B, which looks a lot like this and actually performs the same function amongst others, such as unit conversion, fuel consumption, wind correction angle, and so on. Basically a specialized circular slide rule.
