Can someone who plays World War II Online please tell me currently what planes are flyable in this game?

This site does not update and there is little info/pic.
Also if you know a site where I can see some pics of the planes and the flying aspect of the sim besides the main site that would be great.

Hey there glad you asked!

Ive been playing ww2ol for two years and they recomended IL2 to me and I bought it yesterday.

The current flyable planes are

Spit1
SpitV
109e4
109f
110c4
110c4B (has bombs)
Hurri1
Hurri2c (has bombs)
Blenheim1
Blenheim4
Havoc Medium bomber
Heinkel 111 Medium bomber
Db7 French Medium bomber
Stuka Ju87 Dive bomber
Hawk 75
Hawk 81 (p40)
Dewotine 520

I *think* this list is correct.

The light model was recently audited on all planes, so the game has now a much more realistic feel, whereas before it was kind of arcadey.

currently we have:

Germany:
----------------
Ju87 Stuka
Bf109 (E4 & *F4*)
Bf110 (C & *C/4*)
He111

British:
----------------
Blenheim (2 variants)
Spitfire (MkI & *MkV*)
Hurricane (MkI & *MkIIc*)
Havoc

French:
------------
H75
*H81*
D.520
Blenheim
db7

germanies next fighter they are going to be modeling is the fw190a4. brits will get the spit.IX i think. not sure about the french but i think its the p39 (lend lease to give them a needed boost). also i think they'll be adding the ju88 for the germans sometime in the future.

all planes enclosed in *x* have to be researched during the war to be added to the spawn lists. research is affected by strategic bombing of the other sides factories.

the game is constantly evolving and growing. definately worth playing. the latest patch has totally changed the game.

gutted or mtspace do you know any sites with pics so i can see these planes?

the main site does not have the updated pages for planes like the D520 or H75 or bf109F.

totalsim.com or totalsims.com doesn't have anything to do with this thread, neither does IL2 haha

I played it for a week during trial period but I was not convinced about aircraft.

Overall WW2OL is magnificent by its feeling of being there. It was a great tank "sim", but airplanes feel very funny after IL-2. Stalls are weird and using rudder... now thats weird! flight charasteristics were overall questionable IMHO.

Yeah, I'm spoiled by IL. WW2OL is absolutely great WAR-sim when you hav a lot of buddies and A LOT of free time but for flight-simmers it doest give much more than atmosphere. Sometimes thats enough though.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I think that the planes on that film are not F-80s, but McDonnell FH-1 Phantom I or F2H strike fighters from the mid-50s. Look some of this. (Not to be confused with F-4 Phantom II! A completely different plane.)

well, unlike this game, patches with added content and fixes/tweaks come regularly (sometimes more than once a month). the game is always under development and is constantly evolving. it just keeps getting better and better with every month that goes by. And after reading about the upcomming features, its going to be even better. And the developers are very active in the forums discussing stuff with the players and you'll even see them in game.

they just recently added new FM's a few weeks ago, they aren't perfect yet. but they are a step in the right direction as oppossed to the way they were before.

the gameworld is freaking enourmous and is conitnuous (no loading when moving from area to area). if you wanted you could fly around all of europe if you had the fuel.

and yes, if you want to get the most out of the game, join a squad. teamwork is essential. but you can lonewolf just fine if thats your thing, its just your game enjoyment goes up 10x if your in a squad.

ww2ol is a virtual war. and it gives you the feeling of actually being in the war. considering the scope of the game (land/air/sea) and the size of the gameworld, i think the FM's and gfx are pretty fuggin good. and with the addition of the upcomming events server, you can participate in special scenarios (sometimes reinactments).

and when you get tired of flying, pick up a rifle or hop in a tank (or any of the other vehicles), and slug it out on the ground to help move the front.

for 13$ bucks a month, its the best thing since crack.

and yes im trying to get you to join the war :P

why pay to play a game when ya can do it for free. And was never impressed with WW2OL from day one and still unimpressed with it

"Of all my accomplishments I may have achieved during the war, I am proudest of the fact that I never lost a wingman. It was my view that no kill was worth the life of a wingman. . . . Pilots in my unit who lost wingmen on this basis were prohibited from leading a [section]. They were made to fly as wingman, instead."

I play both IL2 FB and WW2 Online, my steed of choice being the Hurri 2c. They both feel quite similar to me in flight between both sims.

For me I dont choose one over the other the other, both are good games, WW2 Online keeps on getting better as does IL2.

I would recommend if you havnt seen WW2 Online go and have a look. For a "combined arms" sim its very good.
