I'm interested in finding out which WWII fighter pilot you would most like to fly as wingman to.

While we're at it feel free to name your choice of fighter pilot you would least like to fly as wingman to.

I'll start it off. Here are my choices:

Best - Eric Hartman, cuz he fought smart and made it a point to watch over his wingmen.

Worst - Pappy Boyington, cuz he wasn't always in top form (hangover) when he flew sorties.

Got to say Erich Hartmann.

Legends say he never lost a wingman in combat, except for the former bomber pilot(the pilot wasnt killed tho).

Hartmann hands down, he took care of his wingmen.

Plus he could just take out all the planes I would miss.

One of the Redtails. It'd be an honor to fly wingman to any one of the Tuskeegee Airmen.

As a second choice, anyone with lots of patience. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/35.gif Erich Hartmann probably.

Saburo Sakai. He always watched out for his wingmen. He had one guy sick to his stomache because he didnt get to fly with Sakai in one mission; he died during that mission.

Hartmann as #1 for me too. I need someone who will be able to help me the most, and I bet it's him.

Then again, I've always wanted a chat with Lilya Litvyak.

From what I have read, flying Marseille's wing consisted of orbiting up above or nearby and just watching the show http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

Doesn't sound like too bad of a gig to me.
