I remember some time ago someone (or were I dreaming?) mentioned that there wil be the old campaigns from original Il-2 made working properly in il2 46. Dont know who (if anyone) posted about that, but I've just had some deja vus recently. Or can I install my old Il-2 patch it and copy the missions and campaigns into 46? Or is there a corrected version avaliable somewhere (if it needs corrections)?

The 1946 DVD comes with the campaigns that were with the original IL-2 but ommitted from Forgotten Battles. I think it comes with the original single missions also.

The current 'full' download version of 1946 should have them also, but I can't confirm this. I don't think the early '46 download that was just the Pe-2/46/Sturmoviks Over Manchuria add-ons had the original campaigns however. If this is what you have, I believe that the campaigns can be ported over from your IL-2 Sturmovik install. I did that in the FB+AEP days (before PF) and the missions were fine.

When I first made the move from the original Il-2 Sturmovik to Forgotten Battles, I copied & pasted the original's static campaigns and single missions to the appropriate folders in FB. I assume that you can still do that today.

When I made the move from FB/AEP/PF 4.04m to Il-2 '46, I did the same thing, adding the Users folder and all the Skins I'd painstakingly gathered over the years. This made it much easier for me to get set up and resume my various campaigns. With 7 or 8 pilot accounts and at least as many campaigns going at any given time, it saved me several hours.

cheers

Macca Those are nice campaigns! You need to fly one of them.... nice deja vu feeling too http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif They're reworked for 46.

Last time I looked I couldn't find them either (I'm using the disc of Sturmovik 1946). Does anyone know where the missions are?

Do you mean the campaign missions or the single missions?

Obviously the old IL-2 Sturmovik missions would have only been for either Germany or Russia. Under the careers for either of those nations, you'll see campaigns without a preceding asterisk or other annotation; I think the campaigns that are simply named Fighter or Bomber are the originals.

As for the single missions, I can't recall what came with IL-2 and what came with Forgotten Battles, so I don't know if any of the single missions on 1946 are from the original game. I vaguely recall moving all of my 'fly the IL-2' single missions from IL-2 to FB for some reason ... were any included in FB originally? Same question goes for the Bf109 (not Bf109K-4) and for the Fw190 (not Fw190A or Fw190D) folders.

I assumed thatwas what the sticky post at the top of this forum was about. It is called "Unofficial Addon for 1946: Missing Missions from IL-2 Sturmovik and Demos "

Now im asking myself how come I did not notice thathttp://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif In the game we get USSR fighter and bomber static campaignshttp://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif and a Luftwaffe one. Just the bomber is bomber, not sturmovik (name of the camp). I think I was expecting sometthing like "here is the old campaing" or sthhttp://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif
Thanks for showing the wayhttp://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif
