Na it is GS score and made me laugh how the only bad thing part from a few visual glitches is a confusing ending http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/88.gif that can't be bad

How could it be an editors choice if it's an player review?

xD

It's Gamespot's review. You can count on that. These guys fail to dissapoint me once again, but I wonder why they are so many differences between the reviewers.

Heh, I was expecting less from them since they seem to low-ball many things.

Review contains SPOILERS!!! I read them and I was trying not to find out. Oh well.

Start of spoiler is below the picture captioned:

"Climb to the pinnacle of a tower for a bird's-eye view."

It ends at the end of that paragraph.

Oh and "PS3 owners are blessed with a slightly more solid frame rate"... well... that's a rarity.

Well, if you're going to read one silly thing, read this one... it's good... Gamespot PWNZ!!!

But, I won't get over myself, this is the new rule:

Reviews = Opinions

you can tell that just from the wide variety from each one...

YAY ! but for me it doesn't matter I'll make up my own mind and probably give it a 9.9/10 LOL

edit: this does do -->There are few differences between the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions. PS3 owners are blessed with a slightly more solid frame rate, although the 360 version features a little more contrast in the lighting, so it's pretty much a wash. But regardless of which platform you go with, you'll have an amazing and unforgettable game. Assassin's Creed is the kind of game you tell your friends about, and one that should be in your collection.

I'M going with the PS3 version , woooooohooooo

This just seems to confirm it even more... Only the IGN reviewer has given it a below 9 (allmost)... in which case most of the reviews are 9+ that is very good! Seems like the IGN reviewer was smoking crack or something!

This is it. This is the proof we all want and need. GS has been known to give some pretty harsh ratings for games. The fact that a game that intoduces a tottaly new idea and is the first in its abosluetly revolutionary series is utterly amamzing. To heck with the ign review. The man should be fored for that, everyone else has givin it extremly high ratings. As for me, I'll be able to play this hame in about an hour, and don't think I've ever been this excited. heh I jsut finished the GS review. did anyone else noticed the only things that were bad were Confusing ending A few small visual glitches. glitches can be fixed with patches and story's can be explained on the fourms

The voice acting of the supporting cast is similarly remarkable.

Yet IGN said that the voice acting is abysmal...

Opinions, that's all they are.

Glad to see Gamespot gave it a high score.

One thing that really has me worried is the end of the game. A lot of the reviewers say the ending is really irritating. As long as the game itself is fun, I guess that's ok.

Oh and "PS3 owners are blessed with a slightly more solid frame rate"... well... that's a rarity.

The article also says...

Well.. IGn said the voiceacting was superb except for Altair's voice actor.

TBH, when I first heard Altair's voice I was a little iffy... a little... kinda... well... maybe not.

PS3 has a more solid frame rate, while XBox has better lighting.

I give it a 10, a 10 and a 10...

I know. I was just saying that it was rare for the PS3 to be better when it comes to framerate. Usually there one thing that's better on the Xbox and one thing that's better on the PS3. It's usually the Xbox that has the better framerate.

Hey do you guys think that the sites that gave it a good review are the ones that knew how to change the difficulty and the sites that gave it a bad review are the ones that didnt know how?

JohnsHomegirl
11-13-2007, 02:55 PM
I'd rather read undeserved, harsh, low ratings as opposed to fanboy 10s. Even if it's regarding a game I've been excited about since before the dawn of time...

@ busher. As prestige as IGN is... I doubt they would higher an editor that doesn't know how to change the difficulty setting. Needless to say, the possibility that he chose to play it on a lower setting is always there.

Although, reviewers tend to play games on the mainstream "normal" setting. Which makes sense.

Gamestop gave a much higher rating then Ign?! WHAT?!

I think he's still high now... just sitting there, throwing moth balls at his TV.. trying to make the awesomeness which isn't his life - and is Assassin's Creed - go away.

IGN:

These big open worlds, which are fully interactive, do come at a severe cost on PS3. There is considerable texture pop-in and noticeable framerate issues. Playing back-to-back with the 360 version, it's obvious that Ubisoft did not devote enough resources to the PS3 edition. The framerate is considerably worse, so much so that it begins to affect gameplay in the later levels.

Gamespot:

There are few differences between the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions. PS3 owners are blessed with a slightly more solid frame rate, although the 360 version features a little more contrast in the lighting, so it's pretty much a wash. But regardless of which platform you go with, you'll have an amazing and unforgettable game.

Well gamespot 9.0, Gametrailers 9.1 and IGN 7.7!

Not really hard to see which reviews to belive sinse allmost everyone else allso gave it a 9+! And the two biggest newpapers in Norway gave it a 5 out of 6 and a 6 out of 6. I still belive the IGN reviewer was smoking crack... or by any other reviewer IGN must have some damn harsh standards!
