Okay, so I've hanged up my joystick for a while now. I stopped playing AEP for a while. Right after I stopped the BoB patch came out.

I just have IL2+AEP and don't have PF.

The way I read the patches page, everything requires PF. Not to mention some mention about a PE-8 addon I have to pay for.

Then there's all sorts of updates from varying times for varying things which all somehow include pacific fighters. This made my head spin.

I just want to make my game stable and be able to fight online on hyperlobby again.

can someone explain this all to me slowly?

Thanks

PS. I know its all listed and can be searched, but none of it felt very comprehensive and I'd like to know what has happend since I stopped.

At this point, if I were in your situation I'd wait and get the entire series on DVD when it hits the market November 27. You get everything with no patches to decypher. See announcement on PF homepage. http://www.pacific-fighters.com/en/home.php?skin=S2

You're only eligible for two patches. If you are still running FB+AEP v2.0, then install (in order) the v2.01 and the v2.04 patches.

After that you can only upgrade by first buying Pacific Fighters on CD-ROM (don't get buy PF by download because some vendors only offer the 'standalone version' that can't be combined with AEP). Or--your best value--is to wait a month for the giant DVD edition that will have FB + AEP + PF + Pe-2 Peshka + Sturmoviks Over Manchuria + 46 ... all together, the complete sime up to v4.07. We've heard rumors that one final free patch, v.4.08, will close the series for good.

.

I tink you might be refering to the Battle over Europe add-on. The has never been a BoB patch. The BoE add-on is not essential. You can pick it up though at Just Flight. It offers lots of missions during the time of the Normandy invasion and on...

Click on the 'show matches' tab on this link and scroll down to find it. Just Flight ship all over Europe and no doubt even further afield.
