Sorry, but it's incredible that we don't have real Panzerblitz rockets and an FW190F-9...that would actually be allowed online.

But I'm looking forward to '46 - especially the Arado 234 Blitz - even though the crybabies won't allow it online like the 262.

X-4 was not particularly fast (not very much more than 262s could manage), and took a fair bit of concentration by the pilot to operate, all the while flying his 190, and avoiding bombers escorts

IMHO, would not have made a very effective weapon....or at least, would have exacted an unaffordable toll to use

Well i hope you can fly and control it at the same time .)

The turning circle decides if it can be used as point defence (air and ground) as well .)

The idea was to allow interceptors to engage from outside the range of the bombers' defensive armament.

In this capacity it would most likely have been extremely effective, since bomber formations aren't that good at evasive action.

Throw in a proximity fuse and the chances are that you'll damage something with a near miss, which is quite easy to obtain against an aluminium overcast.

Any evasive action taken by the bombers would break up the formation, making it much easier to pick of stragglers. If the loss rate is >10% on a regular basis, the chances are that the bombing will stop.

X4 was not intended as an anti-fighter weapon and would probably been quite ineffective in that capacity against an uncooperative target. But then again, the same could be said of Sparrow and Sidewinder in their earlier incarnations (see Vietnam).
