View Full Version : Are there actually 50 Templars?

Has anyone actually got all 50 Templars? It seems to me that two are missing so it's only possible to get 48, and impossible to get the achievement linked to killing all the Templars. Is that right, or am I just getting some sort of bug?

By the way, just in case people think this issue has been discussed I've done a search for this issue but the forum 'find' feature doesn't seem to be able to find any similar thread or post.

Hmmm. I must have 58 then. I know I'm only missing two. The thing is, I've counted all the Templar chests (using the strategy guide) and all of them are there but two Templars seem to be missing. There's a rumour going around that this is a bug. I just want to know if anyone has got the achievement associated with it.

For those ranting about how easy is this game it's a good question. They got all the flags and killed all the Templars? http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/halo.gif

In the last mission; I pickpocket someone, he was talking with a templar, after that I see the templar he was talking was walking away in the streets I decided to kill him http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/icon_twisted.gif but I was too dumb and was killed http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/35.gif I wonder if killing that one could count as one of the 60, and if you fail like me you don't have other chance.

No, It wont. I've found everything in the game and even though i killed the templar you're talking about I didn't get the message i killed a templar.

I think I heard that the bug was in the strategy guide....that it was wrong in some areas. The best thing to do is just go around looking and watching as you complete things (again).

Bump...

So, I'm also at 58, and I have no clue about which templars I'm missing, and if they're even there to be found.

I'm fairly certain I've found all the locations, based on pictures, but since little details varied from the guide to my game, I suspect foul play. Like always.

Any ideas?

I got all 60. Hooray for me!
I also have all flags in Masyaf and Damascus. Has anyone completed the game 100%?

the game is well done when the main scenario is good and all gameplay is entertaining - running like fool to find last flag or templar in the city is anoying. main game and fighting is way too easy, no one can deny this.

No it's not working this way.

BTW - do you know if there is any reward for killing all of them or something will happen only when you find all flags, templars and eagle views (additional memory block)? I also wondering if this will be just some kind of credits or maybe something worth efford?

I did finally get all the flags, but I'm missing a few other achievements; the glitch one, Conversationalist, and the combo one.

I am really not looking forward to replaying the whole game just to get Conversationalist...losing my almost perfect DNA strand... http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/51.gif

CoastalGirl! you dont have to!

you can reply only block where you have missing dna. and not all the block but just the city where dna's are missing. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I mean to get the "Conversationalist" achievement. Once you miss the opportunity, you have to replay the whole game to get it.

I don't want to do it, though, until I get all the other achievements, especially the combo one. I think I have about ten now, and I'm not losing them! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-tongue.gif

I think you can do those again? I could be wrong, But if you can't i'd be somewhat upset... I saw MOST of them but i missed 1 or 2 because i had a friend over during one part of it and i didn't wanna sit there and listen 2 her talk for 20 minutes, I wanted 2 show him the game lol... So i figured i'd go back and do it later...

I'm really beginning to think those templars aren't there... I mean, I'll admit that I was pretty skeptical about the flags, and did eventually find them all. Thanks Prima... http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif

But, I've seriously been to every templar location, and matched the guide's pictures on my screen. WTF is going on?

i wish there were more templars/side missions, i wish ubi could have thought of something better instead of collecting flags for the informants... though the minor assassinations you do are cool.. collecting flags is the WORST thing about this game, it really messes up the feel.

Well, I gottem all... So they're deffenetly there... Unless you have a PS3? I have it on 360.

You're not forced to do it.

Reserrecting this older thread rather then start a new one...

I wonder if guards killing templars is the bug... I have used the published maps and went to every templar location and am at 58 also but i am pretty sure at least one templar was attacked by guards and probalby killed in one of my battles early on when the templar joined the battle unexpectedly.

Anyone seen that or can confirm that if templars are killed by guards that they either respawn or we get the credit?

if a templar dies you get the credit. even if they fall from a height and no one touches them you get the credit. there are also other guards that look like templars, but arent, so that might be what you saw.

Great, back to the maps then... i must have missed 2 along the way which is surprising since I thought I was pretty detailed in my tracking... http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Just to close the loop, i found the last two... some tricky map areas that I must have mis-marked the first time around so now I can confirm there are 50 and they are all fairly easy to identify and kill.

Note though that not all of them have a chest which I find interesting... probably just a bug that escaped testing but did make some of my validation questionable.
