Hey... I constantly hear people talking about the Freemasons... well, I don't remember them being in the first game, wtf do they have to do with anything?

The Freemasons are basically the modern day Templars, they just changed their name when they collonised America. (I think)

The Freemasons =/ Templar they're two different groups in reality.

On Wikipedia it says that this is just a masonic organisation that called themselves 'Templars' but that they never claimed any direct link to the Medieval Templars.

It's a conspiracy that the Free Masons are the same as modern-day Templars. This is based primarily on another conspiracy that the Mason's want to create a new world order. This should sound familiar. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif In reality though they aren't the same organization going by a different name. My theory is that the conspiracies that shroud the Templars inspired the Free Masons to model their group after the Templars.

@Xanatos, The Free Mason's we know today actually started in England before major colonization of the Americas began. They didn't change their name when they came over. It's just that they were relatively unknown until they took political roles in the new American Colonies.

@EzioTheAssassin, It's so wierd that noticed that because just a week ago I was reminded of the symbol and I thought the same thing. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_eek.gif
I even think that nearly the exact same symbol of the Assassin's is in the Library of Congress.

@Altaezio, It's true, all those people were Free Masons. Even George Washington and pretty much every American Founding Father was also a Free Mason. But the Mason's are really just a social club for influential men. The real conspiracies within the Mason's ended shortly after the American Revolution. The entire revolution was a design of the Free Masons. Many quotes in the American Constitution came from Masonic ideals.
"One man one vote" "Equality for all people" etc.
The founding of America was an attempt at a new world order. Even on the one dollar bill it says "Novus Ordo Seclorum"(latin) - New World Order.

This, to conspiracy nuts, they believed the Templar and Freemasons were connected but in reality there is no such connection.

yesh. and even a not-so-secret society like the masons got infiltrated by the illuminati. pretty slick http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

"If the sincere and thoughtful Mason would 'take notice' of the symbolism and the use made everywhere in the Lodge of the word 'Light,' and remember that the real Initiates are called also 'the Illuminati.'"

i like that quote

godsmack_darius
08-11-2009, 07:14 PM
The Illuminati think themselves higher then us and think we dont no anything, they think their NWO will suceed, but what they dont no is, that people, like me and you, have infiltrated them, they no someone has, but they dont no who, if you look at the movie the Matrix, theirs soo many signs that have been put their about 9/11

But we dont see it

lets ope the Illuminati make a role in AC2 or AC3 Most likely seeing as though Illuminati took a big role in the 17 hundreds, but maybe they just got infamous in 1 hundreds, and they were around in the 16th centuary, and besides, Illuminati infiltrate the templars...but their bad news too that might make youn sad...
The Illuminati also infiltrated the Hashshashin, and they use them to assassinate people like the pope, people who speak up againt the Illuminati, etc etc

But they might be able to make a story out of it, any suggestions

Azugo
08-13-2009, 03:02 AM
If you're interested in religion, the Illuminati (like I am) you've gotta listen to Srila Prabhupada. He has an amazing understanding of things and he is so wise.
The "New World Order" has been organized by the Illuminati. I have heard many conspiracy theories. (George W. Bush is an Illuminati. Winston Churchill was an Illuminati etc) Apparently they want to start the New World Order on the 21st of December, 2012. Germany, England and the US are apparently controlled by the Illuminati. (The Government) Which leaves the only Australia, France, Italy, New Zealand and all the other strong-ger Nations' Governments controlled by Genuine people (The good-guys). I'm not sure about Barack Obama though. I hope he's a good-guy.

This, if it's true, could be what Ubisoft could base AC3 on. You know, you could be Desmond and you have to Assassinate the Illuminati before the New World Order. As I too, would like to see the "Enlightened Ones" (Illuminati) as they call themselves in one of the Assassin's Creed games.
I also think that The New World order would be the perfect setting for AC3. So, why not?

godsmack_darius
08-13-2009, 03:11 AM
If you have heard the links I have posted, it says EVERYTHING has been infiltrated by the Illuminati, From the Assassins, to the templars, and even freemasons,

And yes each president is a puppet, when we choose them we choose either the puppet on theleft or the right, Obama is exactly like hitler if you look at it, they are arresting EVERYONE under suspicion that their a terroist even though terroists dont exist, hey have false flagged 9/11 and 7/7,

So AC3 it would be interesting to see Desmond and maybe a few assassins of his trying to win back the Assassins Guild since it has been infiltrated,

or maybe Lucy was never friends with Vidic or Desmond, she was Illuminati and Vidic was just a templar, so one person has infiltrated the Assassins and Templars at once (Which is Lucy)

Azugo
08-13-2009, 03:26 AM
Yeah, I always knew 9/11 was an inside job...

Ubisoft should listen to us, we have good ideas about AC3. XD
Lucy... Some bad arse chick lol.
So what you're saying is that every President is under the influence of the Illuminati?

godsmack_darius
08-13-2009, 03:31 AM
Yes every president except JFK but look what happened to him http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Oh I forgot to mention something interesting, the original Illuminati surfaced in the 1500s http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif in italy

And another fun thing, the Illuminati infiltrated the Vatican church http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Also, isnt that a sad thought? That the Assassins were infiltrated by the Illuminati, and are now being taken over. same with the masons and templars, it really is a depressing though,

Azugo
08-13-2009, 04:32 AM
Wow... You Americans need someone, a President who knows about the Illuminati and their intentions. Especially with the US being the strongest Nation in the world. Someday, I hope, the Assassins will rise again. Since they bring justice to the world without starting a war. Someday...

I'm thinking, like you said, Lucy could be an Illuminati and Vidic, a Templar and maybe one night, when Desmond is in his room at Abstergo, Lucy gathers a bunch of her Illuminati mates and they infiltrate Abstergo, killing Vidic. Desmond wakes up and sees a warning written by the Assassin's in Eagle Vision, somewhere in his room. And it says stuff about how Lucy's an Illuminati and the date she and the Illuminati are going to attack Abstergo. (which is now)So Desmond has to sneak out of the compound (avoiding getting killed by the Illuminati) into the real world. Where he meets some fellow Assassin's.

I dunno... But I think that's what'll happen in AC3.

godsmack_darius
08-13-2009, 04:10 PM
When I say infiltrate I meant The Illuminati eithe pick members from the Assassins or templars, to join them but not keave the Assassins,, so their will be an Illuminati member inside the Assassins guild growing growing within the ranks of the Assassins and can eventually get close enough to the guild master kill him, or gather importent information the Illuminati needs, or even grow far enough to be a Assassins grandmaster, and none of the Assassins will no about them,

And eventually the Illuminati/Assassins master could tell the Assassins what to do, and same with the Templars, the same could happen to them.

Or to make it a bit simple, the Illuminati choose a member in the Illuminati to join the Assassins and it goes on from their, but no one knows the Illuminati are involved in the Assassins VS. Templar war, and Ubisoft could think of ideas form their

First of all, George Bush was not a Freemason but a member of the Skull and Bones society along with John Kerry, a Frat at Yale. I am a 25 year old Freemason, who is also a pretty hardcore gamer. If you all think Freemasonry is trying to take over the world and up to no good, then go down to a local Mason lodge and see what it is all about. We do nothing but good things for our local community's. We give alot of our "own" money to local charities. We do not ask people to become Masons, you have to come in on your own will. We aren't secret about where our Lodges are. We have billboards, and websites for local lodges. We hold charitable events.Does that seem like some secret society? We make good men better, not make bad men good. So please stop reading all the crap on the Internet and see it for yourself first hand... Any man is welcome to a Freemason Lodge, so stop hiding behind your search engine and see what its all about.

I agree with you though. I don't believe all Freemasons are evil, just like I don't believe all Americans are stupid (although the majority I speak to tend to think they're the best at everything when they clearly aren't http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/51.gif). There's a Freemason... place not far from where I'm currently stationed (a bunch of FM-only stores or something) and they're not being subtle about it. I agree they're entitled to privacy over their own affairs, but if I see anything fishy... http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/crackwhip.gif

First of all, the internet is the only way to get things around since it isnt filtered like the media

The media is controlled by the Illuminati, But the freemasons in general arnt evil, but they have beeen infiltrated by Illuminati, Same with the Hashshishin, they have been infiltrated by the Illuminati as well

And again, the internet is the only trust worthy way of eting things round, unlike the media, concidering it is filtered, and doesnt tell us what we need to no

We have quite a bit of Templar and Mason history embedded in our own history here in Portugal. We have the Tomar Monastery, which used to be a Templar’s haven in the Peninsula and, of course, the Ragaleira Palace – built by a free mason and used for many years for their secret gatherings and ceremonies. Some people say it still serves that purpose: although it’s been turned into a museum, we often heard about groups of people trespassing and having meetings in the grottoes and the Initiation Well. I recently took the guided tour there and is just… It really gives you chicken skin!
If you are ever in Portugal, it’s well worth visiting!

That place has 'Assassin's Creed' written all over it! If I'm ever in Portugal for some non-apparent reason I'll give myself a "private tour", at night. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/59.gif

It does, doesn’t it?
About that “private tour at night”, just don’t get caught! http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
When we did our tour, we took the last one of the day and the sun was already setting. We had to take flashlights with us. Descending to the Initiation Well is the creepiest thing I’ve seen! People say there are still tunnels no one knows about beneath the gardens. And you can easily get lost in the dark…

Xanatos2007

I can't. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_cool.gif

Were flashlights absolutely necessary or did they have lights somewhere?

MartaVasques

They have these illuminated lines on the ground so you know the way out. But we took flashlights because people who took the tour before told us the guide usually gives you some free time to explore the tunnels, although he doesn’t let you get too far. He actually warned us about an unfinished staircase… If you’re not careful, you can fall into a pit. So flashlights are handy for those parts without the string of light. During our tour, a kid actually fell into the lake in the grottoes – you have to cross it by hopping on some flat round rocks in the middle of the filthy green and black water. He was not harmed, just soaked, dirty and scared to death! http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I remember that show!

I died a little on the inside.

Seriously, if you give it another look, it's just bad.

But do you guys remember The Land Before Time?
That was great.

And, not at all off topic.

Not at all.

Blasphemy! Unbeliever! Kill the heretic!http://www.clicksmilies.com/s1106/waffen/violent-smiley-010.gif

Although half the information we know about the Illuminati is intentionally produced by them to mislead us. Ubisoft is probably run by a bunch of old dudes in funny hats who sit around drinking beer and plotting world domination with like... the, Lizard People...

Your logic is impenetrable.

I just wonder if the Illuminati are truly to be feared...

I mean, what do they actually do?

Xanatos2007
09-11-2009, 05:22 AM
Rule the world. They're not 'feared' exactly, it's just that nobody can be bothered looking for them. It's going to become my new hobby after ACIII.

Xanatos2007

No solid evidence exactly, but there's been plenty of history of the Illuminati/Freemasons/Templars/etc making plans for world domination and a "New World Order".

Illuminati aren't that secret these days, they even have a website:
http://www.oto.org/
Freemasons likewise aren't so secret, anyone can just go to a lodge and ask how to join then do a bunch of initiation rituals and take an oath etc
Templars (the old templars) no longer exist, there is a new templar order that exists as a branch of freemasonry though

JohnConnor2012

There were probably craft masons around when the last Templars got toasted in the mid-14th century, but they were just the stonemasons guild rather than some occult group.

The first ceremonial mason was Elias Ashmole, founder of the Apollo Lodge, Oxford, in the mid-17th century, a whle three centuries later.

Only occultists claim any connection between the two but that's up there with the Priory of Zion stuff, an admitted and proven hoax by the Lettrists from the early-1960s.
