I was getting this consistently since I started playing. Every time I'm in external view or on bridge, there is this dark blimp appearing and disappearing in the middle of the screen. Sometimes it is nothing, other times it is quite big and annoying. I have latest driver for my graphics card. Anyone else get this or have a way to fix it? Here is what I mean

Which card do you have? Has happened always, with all the drivers you've used? If some driver appears to avoid that, consideer to downgrade to it.

I get that kind of thing to, except only behind a ship, and rather rarely. I just kind of deal with it because it rarely happens for me.

Sorry, this is OT, but this reminds me... wasn't there a sci-fi movie where a WWII sub & it's crew get abducted by aliens?

Large black triangles during a game, purple colors, garbled textures and random pointy lines all signify bit-flipping in video memory.

Causes could be failing video memory, failing capacitors either on the video card or motherboard, a failing PSU, thermal management issues (dust build up and/or failing fan contributing to overheating), a corrupted BIOS (video or motherboard) or mere memory overclocking.

The Radion 9200 series cards did that.
