While playing I see what appears to be a big black square with a huge white circle in it, its huge. I dont know how to get rid of it, but I am sure its a graphics bug, I have a ATI Radeon 256mb 9800

I had it and still have it occassionally, though without any white circle. I lessened "density" in the game to 70% and got rid of it almost totally.

I`m using Ati Radeon (Don´t laugh) 9100.

Hope you solve your problem,

I just read the Subsim thread and all I can say is, it works fine running the game from either the desktop shortcut or autorun. It has to be a DVD-ROM compatibility issue somehow. Tho just what, I don't know.

I'm using a Plextor 712A DVD+-R/RW drive and I get none of these problems. I guess I'm lucky, but some are having problems and blaming it on SHIII, and that's not always the issue. You have to check out your pc hardware too.

A large number of people have had this issue. The proper fix is listed here (http://www.simhq.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=129;t=000135;p=), as well as pointed to in the stickies in this forum.

Ok, I had this problem, dont know what caused it butI have a fix. When you run the game run the start/ubisoft/silenthuter3/DETECTION TOOL. Instead of the SH3 exe... Works like a charm for me good luck
