Has anybody successfully added the English versions of "Case Blue" and/or "The Last Days" from X1 Software to a merged version 3.04 of IL-2 FB, AEP, and PF?

If so, how do you rate these two add-on programs?

Furthermore, where did you acquire them from? I have tried to do so through the MatrixGames web site at http://www.matrixgames.com/default.asp?URL=http%3A//www.matrixgames.com/news/list.asp
but have had no success with either the hard copy CDs or the download Option. Keep getting and "Http 500 error" and failure to connect to digitalriver or unable to bring up their matrix's own store web page for the CD packages. Tried both of my computers with their AV and firewall shut down still no joy.

Any assitance greatly appreciated,
Thanks,

The creator of The Last Days, Tankeriv, posts at SimHQ (http://www.simhq.com/simhq3/sims/boards/bbs/ultimatebb.php?ubb=forum;f=127) every few seconds it seems.

A lot of great things have been said about it, such as great immersion from the large formations in the sky, without too much drain on your system.

If you have on ok machine it should work well. Tankeriv answers any questions people ask, and he's working on a patch that should imrove many things, including the options to help it run on a lesser machine.

Here's one of the many threads about TLD, inluding a few pics (56k beware) (http://www.simhq.com/simhq3/sims/boards/bbs/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic;f=127;t=000721#000000 )

if by English version you mean US, mine works great (TLDs)

some very fun missions (I swear the one there are 70 Pe-2s in flight, not to mention all the Yaks flying around the group)

I am really enjoying TLDs

I have TLD installed on a merged FB/AEP/BoE/PF 3.04 and it is working just fine. I have played a little with it so far and although I have not had a long playing experience to make my mind, I like what I have see so far. Lots of aircraft variety in any given mission, which is what I like. ie. I just do not only encounter Yak-3s in a given mission, or another single type of enemy aircrafts.

The guy behind it (Alex) has been very forthcoming to any of my email questions and he is working on a major patch which should be available soon apparently. Also, he is commited to add any new aircrafts that the DCG will allow as they are added by Maddox in future patches, which is fantastic as this was a major problem with the campaigns that came with the original game - new aircrafts are added to the game but not to the campaigns....somewhat similar issue with BoE, although the last patch was good, but not ideal.

BTW Starshoy...I still want Beaufighters, spitfires & A-20Gs, other variants of B-25s.....etc.. over Normandy as enemy AI.....

Jagd

The last days,
I am getting tired of writting post and e-mails to this company. My TLD missions in carrer plyer mode do not work. The Coop missions are in German. Even though they have German and Downloads. I have still yet been able to enjoy the game. I would like a better response from tankeriv, than its in your mailbox. I just want to enjoy what I purchased. Stll waiting for that beta patch. Is it wrong to want to play what you paid for? I know only want a free copy of the CD! I don't want to chase this company all over the web just to fix some errors!

It looks pretty amazing.

What kind of machine does it take to run it though? I mean like I said the missions look awesome but after about 40 planes with flak is the limit for my PC. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-sad.gif
