Looking at the gameplay vids it doesnt appear as if there is any limit to how long Altair can hang from a building? Do you Like or Dislike and why?

i like the ofcourse, if he only could do it for a limited time it would take the fun away from the freerunning part

You can't hold on forever, controller rumble indicates if you're going to lose your grip. Might be an issue for PS3 owners...

dislike. i still want a grip meter. its not like someone can hold on to a small crack in the wall for two hours... i wonder if the fatigue bar for blocking also counts as a fatigue bar for parkour.

Initially yes possibly a prob for us PS3 owners. In the long term no. This is one of 75 games already incorporating dualshock 3 which is out in Japan Nov (roughly) and rest of the world early 2008. It was confirmed at TGS. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

EDIT: In anticipation of the provide a link gang. Here you are. (http://www.playmagazine.com/index.php?fuseaction=SiteMain.showJapanPage&Japan_ID=171)
Very near the bottom, who knows why it aint alphabetical.

Wile you are being chased by 42 guards at the same time, I don't think you'll ever bother to just hang still on the same spot until you just fall down... http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/53.gif

kk thanks cuz it always seems like you can hang on forever when your watching the gameplay videos. makes me feel a lot better http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif Though in that monferrat walkthrough on the second part when he climbs the church, he hangs up there for a looooooong time. Maybe just good grip there or something?

actually, it seems you can. It seems that it becomes a problem if you are hit by an arrow, then your controller starts to shake and you fall off.

like.
it wouldn't be fun if we're on a chase and we got confused and we lost the grip and we ended up dead just because we've lost the grip.
it would take the fun of the game.
being worry about the guards and the grip meter, would take the fun out of the game for sure.
even though it's not realistic, game are more fun when they are not totaly realistic, but still games should to keep the realism in sight.

In real life do you start to vibrate if your running out of grip? a bar would be better

Yes, in real life you have a bar that tells you you're about to lose your grip.

Sucks if this is true. I hope not. Anyways I believe that you are talkign about the instances when the screen flashes and Altair lets go for a quick second, this is probably just the folk throwing rocks.

The controller vibrating signifies the fact that, in real life, the muscles in your arms will begin to give out but, before they fail you completely, the muscles begin to SHAKE.

LOL you dont vibrate... that would be weird. hasnt anyone had the bar fitness test to count how long you can stay supporting yourself just holding a metal bar? when people are tired they shake a lot

Im sorry but it annoys me when ppl try to relate this game to real life because
#1 its a game
#2 they might have their expectations so high that it ruins the game for them when its released

ok just to answer the vibrating question have you ever tried to benchpress just a lil more than you know you should, your arms start to shake when you lift it the rumble will simulate that (unless you want it to weigh like 120 pounds so u can feel it :P)

What makes you think you cant.

Theres people who do impressive stuff out there.

I bet you some people can do that.

And saying altair can jump 8 feet high this should be possible.

You mean when your body is filling up with lactic acid and you go over your lactate threshold.

Some one like altairi can grip for about like 20 mins. Honestly who's going to wait that long? might as well be forever.

Remember this isn't just your arms you use feet a bit to;if you put them on the wall.

Yes actually you do, it means that your muscles cant handle the pose anymore and your hands will start shaking and you try to hang on but you fall down anyway -.-

Why are we asking whether we can hang onto a ledge forever or not? Maybe we can, maybe we can't. But we do we really want this game to be so realistic that you fall down after a while? If so, than I say: bring in the foodbar! Afterall, one cannot go without food aswell...

...

OH, and if we want this game to be really realistic I suggest we also incorporate a healthbar for the old in-out-in-out... one cannot go without that aswell...

No this was because
1. You misunderstood what DemonikCrow666 said. He wasn't talking about AC in particular with exp magicka and ammo meter, but about all video games. You kinda ruined that sarcastic sentence he wrote.
2. I felt that I might redeem that sarcasm you ruined with making fun of your sig http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-tongue.gif
3. You don't know what magicka is http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

But honestly, I didn't want to insult you or make fun of you. It was just a silly moment http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif I take it back if you want

Lol, I wasn't attacking you either, just so you know!

Anyway, so we don't get destroyed by Z:

I think there's shouldn't be any "Grip Meter" stuff, maybe just a simple rumble. For PS3s, maybe the screen start to shake ever so slightly or something... just me speculating! http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif

EDIT: GOOSE! LOL! I just noticed your Signature! You sneaky *Beep* lol!
