View Full Version : keeping original skins

Ever since AC2 you couldn't keep the original player look if you wanted your health bar to increase.

Now I'm positive a lot of you are gonna tell me to deal with it. I can definitely deal with it :P but It'd be cool if they let you take off armor and still keep the health bar upgraded. Even though the health is depended on the armor.

I heard from Gabe saying that they might make original player skins in the outfits menu, but I'm sure they have many other things on they're minds :/. Who knows. I might actually go through the game without buying armor.

Realistically that wouldn't make sense, he can't just suddenly be able to withstand more pain...sorry

Yeah because video games always have to be realistic. I mean Leaps of Faith are so realistic. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif

It's also realistic for seeing people in "Eagle Vision". http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif

Alright, I never said it was the most realistic game ever. Yes, Leap of Faiths...make no sense at all. Nor do POE's or TWCB or Eagle vision, those are additions. But Im just saying that I don't see why you would complain about something that makes sense... if you put on a bullet proof vest and someone shoots you, and it stops it, taking it off won't stop the bullet, you will remain just as vulnerable as before the vest. Try to put that into perspective with AC. Im simply saying that it makes sense why they do it the way they do it.

It be cool if UPlay offered AC2/B original Assassin robes to download.somehow..I think that altair's robes may be unlocked either by completing the game or possibly after playing an altair memory....since it be crazy to have to "buy" altair's robes in ACR when Altair is already involved in the game http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

your probably right about that

i could see ubi making all of ezio's different looks through out his life into skins, as this is the last game with ezio and altair

Who cares about the synch bar. I could complete the whole game on just 4 bars it's that versatile. Plus, it makes it somewhat harder. I usually pick a specific armour for specific factions... for example, I'll wear some tuscan olive with the leather armour to blend more like LaVolpe and use a lighter sword, whearas if I am doing a Mercenary guild, I'll use the Roman stone and a heavy weapon, like the axe while wearing metal aromour. Makes it feel more 'factionalized' when you have all these customization options. It would be cool to have skins of civilians that let you deceive the guards of certain areas.

I've always wanted them to add a costume skin idea to the stealth system.

That's actually very true, the only time it was actually a pain having low health was in AC1 before getting counter kill back or when in a fight with a ton of guards and the damn archers keep shooting you.

That's actually a pretty cool idea. I can't believe I never really thought of that, especially considering how big of a Fallout fan I am.

I have a chart I made as a guide. Makes the game more interesting and it is actually seems to me that Ubisoft put certain colour dyes in certain places for that reason. For example either Roman Olive or Wetland Auburn kinda look like LaVolpe's outfit. Whilst Florentine 'Scarlet' says it all.

In style!

Then For the Assassin's, I will colour them according to rank (like a karate belt system) and when I do Assassination Contracts, I will wear the colour of my highest ranking Assassin to kinda honour him/her/them. Then when I get them all to level 10. I either where Armour of Altair, Brutus Armour or I will wear white to blend with them. It depends on what I am doing.

@ Sacaliba

Oh man, I do that too!

Except I keep the Assasins's in white color until Lv5, then each level I raise up 1 dye color :P

Ah yes it does look intersting!

Time to time, I'll see a Red dyed Assasisn or a black dyed Assassin hahaha XD

Kind of sucks that in Master level they're all white...wish you could dye theier Master Robes T_T

@Naran61
Yeah, hope they do put in Ezio's classic Robes avalaible either unlock or UPlay http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

@Swiftslasher
that's a hilarious gif! XD

I think the removable armor question may have been presented to Gabe, and he pretty much said it wasn't going to happen but that a skin might be possible. I could be wrong about this though, so if someone could clarify...

I think Gabe is wrong about the game breaking armor removal. We remove it all the time in Brotherhood and I still keep 25 health squares regardless. Tied to stats yes but it only makes you slightly easier to take damage doing this doesn't break the game.

Anywho I could imagine Ubi doing a number of skins of Ezio's career
AC2
AC2 Master black
ACB E3
Embers (Thrown in foreshadowing it)

Master Assassins wore white, not black. black was reserved for the Grandmaster of the Assassin Order.

I wear Roman Guilded Onyx with Plate armor. He looks really badass.

if you wear wetland ebony in ACB it looks exactly like the Armor of Altair

Sarari

I know that taking off armor and having full sync bar wouldn't be "realistic" :P

But since I can't do that, I'll just not buy any armor. I mean how hard can this game be? If it hasn't changed in fighting since brotherhood then I'm fine.

This, and I want to be able to where it through the whole game.

I don't think anyone wants the game to be realistic, but we do want the game to logically work within the rules its story and gameplay sets out for it. You should not get an armor bonus without armor. I think that armor should be removable, OR there should be a single "non altered" skin that changes with dye, unlike other skins.
