In my opinion the Bf-110 was the best fighter bomber of the eastern campaign. But more specifically the variant Bf-110G-2/R3. It had a good bomb load and a very powerful bullet armament of 2 MK 108 and 2 MK 151. So it could take on fighters and bombers as well as ground targets.
What do you think is the best fighter bomber of the Eastern Front?

The Bf110 was not the best fighter bomber in the east. It was the greatest plane in WW2!!!!!!!

BF110 had a very longe life from long before the war up to its very end and it performed well in many roles like interceptor, nightfighter, recon, ...! So i thinks was an outstanding plane not only as a fighter bomber.
But i also heared some good words about the FW190s fighter bomber capabilities.

I think the Me210 / 410 would have been a good jabo if there weren't so many problems with its flight characteristics and production.

The soviets lacked a true mass produced fighter bomber class so there is no such aircraft to mention on their side.

At all i would agree to the BF110 or the eastern front.

The 190 of course.
Had everything a fighter bomber would dream of.
Very heavily armed, heavy armour as well.
High performance, excellent flight characteristics.
Good all round visibility, tough tough engine.
A FW 190 in a position to deliver an attack was fearsome to it's opponents from start to finish.

Fw190 first place, P-47 and Tempest second. Nothing against the 110, but they really suffered when met by determined fighter oposition, the same applies to Me410.

Btw, what was the Sturmovik? A bomber? Definitelly not a fighter...

Pe-2, no doubt about it. So maneuverable that it was transformed into a fighter.

IL2 was a ground attack, neither a fighter nor a true bomber. Its an own class.

The Pe2 was only a bomber or dive bomber, not a fighter bomber (althoug it was developed fromÔ┬┤the '100'-fighter)

Easiest question ever asked on this board:

FW-190.

Like someone else said, it had everything. In the West the Typhoon/Tempest was second best. P-47 is third best. The P-47 would be right there with the 190 and Typhoon/Tempest but it performed best up high whereas the 190 and the Hawker fighters performed much better down low (where bombing takes place). The P-47 was a much better high-altitude escort fighter though.
