Hehe, I once blew the nose off a Pe-3 in a head on attack, but it was otherwise udamaged. It carried on flying with the pilots completely exposed, must have been a little chilly!

I once shot off the nose of a C-47, and it flew a while on and then crashed into the ground.
Man was i shocked! And just yesterday i shot off the vertical stab of a Lagg 3 and damaged it in some way so the pilot bailed out. But he had extended the flaps before doing so and so the plane just flew on, flying in a straigt line. I'm sure it would have flown until the fuel ran out. Never seen that before!

I've seen that happen too. It kinda annoys me, as I'd imagine a real dead-stick aircraft would fall to the side pretty quickly. There are loads of weird little things that happen in this game though. Most of them good. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Nah a good number of records exist for aircraft making perfect or at least upright and survivable landings with their crew dead. Wasn't allways an easy to land aircraft as W.E. Johns recounts a true WWI story in the background to some of his Biggles books about a RE8 ( I believe ) which landed perfectly with a dead crew. The RE8 apparantly was a pig to land at the best of times.

My aircraft lost its nose once, cant remember what it was, an '88 or a Mosquito, it looked like that from the outside with the pilot sitting there, feet dangling. I was hoping that from the cockpit view it would look like the worlds best fairground ride, but the pit looked normal, everything in place.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

I've done that loads of times , I always thought it looked kinda arcadish not sim like but I don't know if the face of a plane can be blown off with the pilot/co pilots just sitting there (dead) . I even made a quick mission with a bunch of fw200's and I flew plane with cannons just to shoot thier faces off..<div class="ev_tpc_signature">
