I really don't know where to post this, so, mods feel free to move it around.

Ever since AC2 One thing always bugged me:
The letters in the Ezio wanted poster, once he starts to get notorious.

You see, in the posters it reads "MORTI DI VIVO", which my notions of italian suggests that it was supposed to mean "DEAD OR ALIVE".

However the expression "DEAD OR ALIVE" in italian is "MORTO O VIVO".

Unless back around 1500, when supposedly Ezio lived, the italian language was different.

Yes, the Italian language was slightly different during the 16th Century.

That may be so.

But considering that every other letering in Assassin's Creed, either II or Brotherhood, is in current Italian, as well as all the people speaking English -- heavily accented of course, but still English --, one might think that the letering on the wanted poster would be correct.

This is the original poster, as it appears in AC.

This is how I believe it should appear

They're not speaking English at all; the Animus is translating for the benefit of Desmond (and us).
