This TrackIR thing is mayor breakthrough in simming. But as I was donning my reflective cap the other day and the LED came on in the track thing that stands on my monitor I got a flashback from the movie 2001. HAL is watching me! I expect it to start taking to me any minute now.

"I'm afraid!"

I'm sure you most of you heard this, but ONLY for those that hadn't.

IF you take add one letter to each letter in 'HAL' incrementally from the alphabet you end up with 'IBM'

Dave Cutler, project manager of Vax VMS operating system, was also the project manager of Windows NT.

I'm not kiddin' now.

I've got trackIR for 1 1/2 weeks now. Seems my sys has a problem with it. 3 times I played FB with it longer than a hour (other sessions were shorter /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif ), my sys hung up. First sound got scraping and loud. Mouse didn't react anymore, but stick & keyboard did. Strange. Rebooting, result: Windows wrecked. 1st time, some parts of it were just missing like menu bars, some stuff of the control panel etc. 2nd time, on boot it stopped and told me

HAL.dll is missing /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-surprised.gif /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

3rd time (just an hour ago /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-surprised.gif ) was another bootup hang...

Thanks Norton Ghost I could ressurrect my system with all progs & setting so quickly /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif .

Just strange...
